yes i have and unfortunetly cannot give any positive reply. My award when my son was around the same age was £4.53 per week. His father continues to move and leave his job each time they him (and I don't understand why his latest wife would find this acceptable!)

I have given up on it as a lost cause (my son is fifteen now) as it was causing too much stress chasing it all the time.
when my parents divorced, long time ago now my ma was awarded such a pittance, not enough to spend a penny, yes really, and he more or less got off scot free. The best way forward is to forget the bloke, get on with your life. Because if you think this situation will get any better, and you can afford it, then contact a solicitor to see if they can come up with a solution, but don't hold your breath.

Chelle thats the same reason that it has taken so long to get an award from the csa with my ex just keeps on moving and running away

em10 ur right i moved on a long time ago and no i wouldn't bother chasing this lost cause or put any effort or time in doing so

the courts have given him a suspended sentence of 42days so unless he wants to do a bit of time i'm guessing i might see 1 or 2 payments........
i just struggle to understand why anyone would not want to help support there own children as in the long run it is them that have gone without (i have noticed tho that as the children have got older that they no longer have much to do with him (there choice) guess even they make there own minds up))
that's it hodges, although there were some times of hurt for my son, he still sees his dad but is aware that his dad has dodged responsibility all his life and does not provide for him, or his second son. There is some satisfaction in the fact that his dad has forever lost the opportunity to have the same sort of relationship with his son that I do.

So with you on that one chelle, i was always more than happy to provide everything for my children and they will always know where the love and support has and will continue to come from, it's just sad for them knowing that he never cared enough to help provide for them,
Thinking on the positive side i wouldn't change a thing as like you he will never have the same sort of relationship with them that i have.
Sorry can't help with the situation but just feel so sad that there are men out there that won't provide for their kids, unbelievable really.
This is the other side of the coin from the case mentioned on here the day before.

Sorry, I can't help either, but I agree with your sentiments. They are terrible. We are in the middle of a terrible row with them because they have been told my OH is working when he isn't. Don't get me wrong, he desperately wants to work and is applying for anything going, but still has not found work. Their attitude is that he must be living on something. Yes he is. Me.
