Ah! the power of protest, makes one almost proud to be English.

But the question must be asked, where was the UAF when they where needed most?

30 men turned up. Must have been the whole contingent of Man U fans who actually live in Manchester.
lol @ count
Ukrainian Air Force? or University of Alaska Fairbanks?
It's a shame that Old Git is only 'almost proud' to be english - i previously had the impression he was a patriot.
.
I'm also not sure who the UAF are AOG - ?

I'm pleased that the matter has been settled.

I do worry that the passion of some fans boils over into threats of personal violence against a man who is making personal career choices, as he is free to do.

And yes he is a 'man - he is losing his hair, has a wife and baby and a nine-figure fortune in the bank, so maybe Sir Alex could stop referring to him as 'the boy'?

I am sure it is Scots coloquialism - but it reads and sounds ridiculous - Wayne Rooney is a highly talented professional athlete, and he's about to turn 25 - no way is he a 'boy' and he should be spoken of with respect for his age and position.
Andy - totally agree with you on the 'passion' of fans who make death threats but respect for a 'man' who regularly cheats on his wife and then when found out severly lets his national team down? I think 'the boy' is still apt.
But it worked

Fergie probably threatened to bitch slap the little broccoli if he didn't sign
Isn't 'where was the UAF?' rather a silly question?

a threatening mob gather outside someone's home which houses him, his wife and baby.

Isn't it more relevant to ask - where were the police?
.
the police were at the dunkin donuts, i thought every one would of known that
UAF? What the hell are you on about AOG?

No need for UAF when we have SAF.

LOL

I love that phrase <no offences were disclosed>

Does that mean there were some and the police said 'not telling you' or (more likely) there weren't any and some hack thinks this is less dull?

who gives a salad chef's wrist action about the man rooney and his overpaid, over-rated and over publicised colleagues. There are more important things in life (allegedly)
Question Author
Quite, I would have thought that at least there would have been someone arrested and charged with 'threatening to kill'.
