Yet another kiddie fiddler has managed to ply his evil trade and has been able to groom at least one more innocent child right under its mother's nose. He has been "severely punished" with a wet lettuce leaf and given 4 months inside. (He may well have been released by the time I've finished typing!)

It proves, does it not, that the present system is deeply flawed? Maybe the introduction of "Sarah's Law", where paedos are "named, shamed" and the address of the sewer they're presently living in is made known to the wider community, would nip such atrocities in the bud?

Or do the "bleeding hearts" win the day again by arguing that the "human rights" of the pervert are far more precious than the safety of innocent children? Woops, no, we daren't risk having vigilante patrols on the streets. No, let our kids suffer instead, eh?

JJ, unfortunately I was the one who made the link between homosexuals and paedophiles - in the context of it being wrong to punish people just for being what they are. (I also made the point that paedophilia is a condition, not a crime; child abuse is the crime.)

However I now wish I hadn't.
I feel sorry for you and for your son. What a horrible way to grow up knowing you cannot be who you are (if indeed he is gay). If I knew my parent/s would disown me for such a thing I would be heartbroken.
He is entitled to his opinions but I do not agree with them and it just flabbergasts me that people with this view still exist.
jno ... I think your points were good ones ...

... but you have started something, haven't you, LOL !!

We still exist and always will, we have far less of a voice these days cos this countries obsession with political uber correctness means that those of us without a pair tend to keep quiet
Maybe you have less of a voice because there are less of you. I have never encountered anyone like this in my life aside form my father and even as a small child I knew he was wrong!

Being tolerant of others who are differenct, including gays, isn't 'politicall correct'.

It is simply 'Correct' in the opinions of the majority of british people.

I wouldn't want to be one, but I wouldn't want to be JoeLuke either!
.
There will always be different opinions.

There are people who think that the money it costs the NHS to perform a "gender reassignment" operation on a man who wants to be a woman would be better spent caring for a child dying of leukaemia.

Transexuals are causing children to die.

Ban NHS treatment for transexuals.

(you see how arguments can become very blurry)
O blimey JJ!

What have you started now!!!

.
Has anyone really not come across anti-gay feelings?

I live in the "Gay Capital" of the country, but there are still plenty of antis.
Agree 100% with that one JJ
TBH....No I have never come across any anti gays...
Zeuhl ...

It would be ironic if the "tolerant majority" spoke out against transexuals !
I am outraged that such people/views still exist.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion but this is so outdated and ridiculous that it angers me.

JJ - No I have never come across such people aside from my father and as I say even as a small child I knew his views were ridiculous.
ummmm ... do you live in Amsterdam ? LOL

joeluke ... I wasn't putting forward a proposition ... I was illustrating a point.

(rolls eyes and "tuts")
Exactly JJ, either these people who've never encountered someone who is anti-gay have led very sheltered lives.........or have just only known people who hide their homophobic views
Transexuals are different.....I think the problem comes from the amount of money they cost the NHS...not the fact they are transsexual.
I would say my life was a far from sheltered as could possibly be.
JJ, I knew that but surely life saving treatment for a child is way ahead on the list of essential treatments as opposed to a non-emergency sex change?
