Complete absence of news. Do I assume, the inevitable outcome of her disease process?

Fine, I just wondered. Give her my regards.
Not seen her for a long time Squad. I worked on the private just after I I retired and I watched this lady from the very first stages till the end. It is a horrible disease as she was always very alert and knew everything. Last I heard was Bigmamma had more home care and I believe she had to part with her dogs which would have been a heartbreak for her. Some may know more that were on Facebook with her.So sad as she is a very nice lady.

Wendilla..thanks. The last time she was on here she was being fed through a gastrostomy tube.
Her son recently got married. She posted pictures of her new dress....and she looked lovely in it.
Can I please rephrase that . It wasnt Bigmamma I looked after just in case you read it that way and I am glad she is still posting on Facebook. Remind me to her as we spoke a lot about dogs .
Can I ask what the illness is - I just know she is very sick - I have seen her on FB too in her beautiful dress for the wedding which was only in the last couple of weeks
Yes squad. My lady didn't get to that stage but everything was liquidised and I used to have a board with the alphabet printed out on it and she pointed to the letters so as I could understand what she was trying to say. But as I was with her for nearly 2 years we could communicate quite well.

peri....ALS....Ascending Lateral Sclerosis...........Google it.
Thanks sqad - I've a fair idea what it is - horrible disease
And you never caught her moaning...
ummmm that is so very true .
She humbles me... she's always cheerful, never complains or feels sorry for herself, and is a genuinely caring lovely person. Such a horrible disease - life can indeed be so cruel sometimes.

Every time I think of moaning about some gripe, ache or pain or minor illness (compared to hers) I think of bigmamma and it brings me up short. And life is short sometimes - too short for some.

Bless her, a lovely lady xx
Hello chatterbankers. I inquired after bigmamma on this thread a while back, 4getmenot took my message and a week later bigmamma herself came on to say hello:) She's a lovely person. http://www.theanswerb...Question891114-2.html
