The 'West' will do nothing, as they consider Israel far more an ally than any other middle eastern country.
You might do well to remember that Jewish extremeists are not renowned for planting bombs in major cities in Western Europe. That'd be the Muslim extremists, in case you hadn't noticed.

Is it OK to terrorise the people of Gaza? They're not in European cities, are they? Just over a year ago Israel killed more than 1400 people when they attacked Gaza. Men, women, and children were butchered in that onslaught. Unless you're a racist and believe that all Palestinians are sub human you must condemn that outrage.

Can you imagie living in a major Uk city with the threat of high explosive rockets being fired at you on a regular basis? Can you imagine taking your kids to school, going to work, doing the Tesco run, watching Corrie, and going to bed; whilst wondering whether the next strike is gonna kill you, your kids, your mates, you family? Or if the next time you jump on a bus someone is going to pull alongside in a car and go boom? Or when you and your other half go out for a drink and a meal someone wearing an explosive vest is gonna sit down at the next table?
Whilst you may or may not agree with Israels response, they are not the only party. Israel does not deliberatly target civilian populations whilst the groups they face do.
I think maybe they do go OTT at times, but bear in mind, as we sit here in our safe country we are in no place to judge?

But, seeing as we, and the USA in particular, didn't learn about 'other countries agendas' and took on the Korean Conflict, Vietnam, two runs at Iraq, and Afghanistan, coupled with the fact GB and USA are virtually broke, and all our military force is extended to maximum,...... the fact is we haven't the money or the forces available to start a third conflict.
And no matter who wins in civil war, until the opposition is totally annihilated, the loser will continue to fight, as we are currently seeing in Iraq and Afghanistan. Which is why in the 'real old days' the conquering army would totally wipe-out a city suspected of harbouring the perceived enemy.
But, the most obvious Middle East solution, seems to me, would be for the Arab neighbours to take it on. It also seems to me that with all the oil money they have taken in, I cannot remember a single time when they made a significant contribution to disaster relief or help for starving countries, let alone try to maintain peace. This seems to be only on the conscience of the Western World.
Well, I could go on for ages, but, I think I've said more than enough. I am just expressing an opinion, and I do not want anyone to think that I am taking sides. I'd just like to see the world learn how to leave in harmony, some how, in my lifetime.
