Sorry Rov I didn't notice your post while I was constructing mine.

Why not withdraw all our troops, so as to train the Afghan Army in this country? After all we can produce the best troops in the world.

In the meantime all the other NATO troops could have a go at the sharp end.

Quite agree AOG they could all be trained up in the UK along with ours. Methinks this is a smokescreen to get our soldiers holed up in Afghanistan and where there seems to be no return ticket. Like the 700 soldiers who were sent out for their elections they are now there on a permanent basis.
