It looks like another dull day in prospect here in Gloucestershire. There is a thin band of clear sky near the skyline, the rest is overcast.
We can't do anything about the weather, so have a good day anyway everyone.

Good Morning WMB.

Just watching the news on baby P. Not nice to wake up to.
Morning WBM you are certainly right about the forecast. Been doing a bit of neighbourhood watch earlier.Van parked where it should not be 'car rushing off and just realised I have not seen his wife for a few days .It's all happening and I live in a quiet area. Installment 2 tomorrow. Have a nice day all.

Morning ummm and wendi.
Scullduggery in the countryside! (always assuming you live in the countryside wendi!) Can't wait for the second installment tomorrow!

Haven't seen the news yet ummmm. I don't think I want to now.
one last time

Good morning
I live in a small village and not a lot goes on without everyone knowing.
They're naming them and giving us a bit of history.

Morning NoK. You made it!
I'll bet it's not good viewing ummmm.
Where is your village wendi? They can be a mixed blessing can't they!
morning wbm and all
Not much i can say about the weather here in lancashire its the same as yours

Morning mongers. as long as the sun is out to play all is well.
Name and shame is what I say - though I doubt those dubious cruel characters have any shame.

My neighbour's wife has been missing now for 3 weeks - as in her car hasn't been on the driveway & she hasn't been around. I want to ask her husband if she is alright - but he'll just assume I'm being nosey as to whether she's left him... so will wait another week.

Sunny here this morning, though mood subdued - a relative died an agonising death yesterday after a terminal illness - horrible to go in such a way. And my best friend's father was diagnosed yesterday with lung cancer (recurrence in the 2nd lung, ? secondaries) & he's suposed to be giving her away in 5 weeks. Life can be wonderful sometimes, life can be sh1te.
morning all

Morning beejay. How's tricks.
Morning Tilly. Sorry to hear about your relative. Not a nice way to go indeed. As you say life can be a real bitch sometimes.
Could your neighbour's wife be on holiday? it's not unknown to take separate breaks.
It is for them wbm - they are seldom parted except when at work. I think she may have an elderly relative somewhere she is looking after - I don't think there is anything untoward, or else I would have risked embarrassment and asked him. Or maybe she has ran off with the window cleaner.... all will be revealed in time I'm sure.

Salla......You have my sympathy. When more than one bad thing happens it hurts my brain as well as my heart :-(
Question Author
There you are then Tilly. You'll find out in the end.
All you can do for your friend is be there for her when she needs you. I don't like to see people suffer. it makes youn wonder where this wonderful God is. Too busy with his ego problem I expect.
tickety boo,wbm
decent start here-so it is
My BF tells me off for taking on others' woes and sadness - but that's what family & friends are for surely?

In my job I come across a lot of terminally ill patients - the best one can hope for is that they go peacefully and as painlessly as possible surrounded by family with all loose ends tied & things needed to be said, said. It's so sad when this doesn't happen.

Anyway, don't mean to dwell or be morbid. Like I said - the sun is shining , hip hip hooray. Gawd, I could do with a holiday.....!
Hi wbm I live in a small village 7 miles from the city of Leicester .Sally yes I got the same idea don't want people to think I am nosey but would like to know lol . I may find out from my neighbour later as I saw him talking briefly to the man yesterday but I am not nosey just concerned .
Exactly wendy - after such a long time I am concerned rather than nosey. Their private life is just that; private. But it's so unusual for her to be away without him - I'm damned if I do ask, damned if I don't. (But I know I will...!)

Question Author
I agree with you Tilly, you want to do what you can.
wendi, I spent some of my cildhood living in Old Woodhouse, not too far from Quorn. are you anywhere near there?
