All MP's are paid by the state. That is our taxes.

Ministers get more, or extra

and I am not sure if any members of the Opposition do.

State finanncing of political parties is not used in the UK - but is in some other EU countries - Italy for example

By the way, Bishops and Archbishops get state money (if you're protestant) which erm we pay for out of our taxes - yes yes I realise that Archbishops is not a real archbish. I just thought you'd be interested

All members of the opposition get just their MP's salary with the exception of the leader of the opposition who gets an increased amount.
I did know Peter but didn't mention it.
