If the little mite WAS wandering around and someone took her, such a programme may just jog someone's memory, if they'd passed an adult with a little girl of her age group, but my personal opinion is that the McCanns should've been in court for child neglect.
I guess if the same thing had happened to your child you'd be out there doing whatever you could to find them. Even if there was only a slight glimmer of hope that it might help
Ice, if she was wandering around and someone had picked her up and carried her off as Gerry believes then anyone who see it at the time would have come forward at the time not two years on
I can kinda see everyones point of view on this, and yes I do agree that they should have been charged with Neglect but I would assume, as a parent myself, that they live every day and night with heartfelt regrets about their decision to leave the kids unattended that night..
This isn't always the case Elvis. Sometimes, for reasons best known to themselves, people witness thngs and don't go forward with information. Later on, they can then think that what they saw MIGHT'VE been of importance. If you weatch Crimewatch, you'll often see that old unsolves crimes, newly reconstructed, can bring forth a lot of new information.
clydeserani...it wasn`t just that night they left them, they had done it every night...Kate even said that Maddie asked her why they didn`t come when the twins were crying the night before and she said to Gerry they shouldn`t leave them again
But what did they do... a night at the Tapas bar with their friends
i have given up on the maddie Mc Cann. Yes any parent would want to recover a child but shouldnt they concentrate on their twins as opposed to living in the shadow of Maddie. Is it guilt? I would like to see them charged with neglect as to have no consequences minimises the seriousness of what they did. If it was a single working class mum who left her kids she would be charged.
I believe they are playing on public sympathy and I believe they are guilty.
They're certainly guilty of neglect pink, and I agree with what you've said.
You're right Elvis - but therefore, even MORE chance of someone coming forward with some info that might help. Unfortunately, I agree with Cathy as well. I think that little girl's long gone, and yes, the McCanns'll have to live with whatever guilt they feel for the rest of their lives.
Trying to appease their feelings of guilt Elvis.Nothing more. The truth will never be known.Id love to know exactly where Gerry went when he recently visited Portugal again.
They say the criminal always returns to the scene of the crime.
