On a slow news day a headline could well be

"It is confirmed that there is no truth in the rumour that Prince Phillip has engaged in sexual practices with Lady Gaga" or summat like that,lol.

Cool - so in that case, if you are aware of the way the tabloids carefully create something out of nothing, why did you not see this for what it is?

The mccanns must have been aware of this programme. I was just summising that they might have been pleased their situation was being kept in the public eye.

They might - but that's not the same as liking publicity in my view.

People on Made In Chelsea like publicity - as I opined, I believe the McCanns endure it as a necessary means to an end.

this is not stricly to do with the op, but i have been very interested in channel4's fake news week, and the documentary about the pap photographer on monday was extremely eye opening!
