My wife has come across this gambling method that looks too good to be true so must be: http://www.advantagecasino.webs.com/
I know it can't work but find it difficult to explain why.
Any thoughts?

Yes it won't work because eventually you will have doubled up so much that it beats the table limits by which point you will have lost hundreds of pounds.

Dont bother with this. You have to keep doubling what you put on red or black to cover your losses. It works up to a point and you spend a lot of time thinking that you have found a way to make money. Then comes a time there is a long run of one colour or the other and you run out of money to wager. Been there done that!
It does work in most cases. To try it out, use a pack of playing cards. Remove the top 4 cards from each suite of the pack to leave 36, and add the joker to represent the roulette wheel '0'. Shuffle and deal, and watch how your imaginary black and red bets go.
The problems are - house limit, as Squarebear says, and house rules, as mentioned on the web page.
If the house limit prevents you from placing your next bet, and you start again from scratch, you'll spend a very long time in trying to recoup your loss.
Heathfield, I feel stupid saying this, but I did believe it worked and for a while it did. However, there came a day it didnt with a VERY long run of one colour....... At that point I woke up and stopped playing.
This is the oldest one in the book, it can work if you have no limit on the table and unlimited cash available.

I have personally seen 13 blacks in a row, now imagine that you are betting 1, on red, by spin 14 you will have wagered 16383. The limit would have been reached long ago, but even if there is no limit you are now wagering 16382 to win 1 on an even money shot (ignoring 0 OK pedants) and the wheel has no memory!

In reality there will be a minimum bet of say 5 on the even money bets anyway, reaching the limit much quicker.
Casinos love these numpties
R1Geezer. Yours is a very good post. I tried to take out some money from the casino when I won and you had to bet thousands of pounds before you could take anything out! I cant remember exact figures as this was a while back.

The three casino links provided in the article all appear to be owned by the same company and if anyone were to click on the links provided by the "advertising" page, it also sends a code identifying the source of that request.
It looks like an advertising scam to me.

Anyway. Thanks guys. I'm certainly not putting up any of my money for this scheme.
I cannot understand anyone playing roulette or poker on the internet. You have no proof that the whole thing is not manipulated. In a casino at least the wheel and cards are physical, but on the internet you have no way of knowing if the computer is playing randomly or is fixed.
The question you have to ask yourself with all schemes like this is:

"If this really works and you can make loads of money with it, why does the inventor need to try to make money by selling the scheme on the Internet?"
