I may be on Question Time this week - I need to come up with a question (20-30 words) which is topical (probably about Swine Flu) to ask the panel.

Not sure who the politicians will be, but I do know Frank Skinner will be on it.

Your thoughts?

If there was an epidemic outbreak of Swine Flu in Afghanistan, would the Government withdraw it's troops, or would they be used in a humanitarian way?
How's about?

"In the wake of the outbreak of Swine Flu, should the UK close its borders to asylum seekers until the outbreak is brought under control?"
In view of the hysteria over 'bird flue' which came to nothing, should the public simply ignore this news as media hype?
Anyone got a hankie?

Will Gordon Brown claim to have saved all our bacon, again?
I quite like the idea of you wearing an AB hat too!

With the impending and obvious outbreak of swine flu, should the public be advised to panic and riot in the streets with the encouragement of looting? (I need new shoes).
Gordon Brown has said that Britain is better prepared for swine flu than most countries. He also said this about the credit crunch. Should we be worried now?
actually, I'd be asking about the nurse who was sacked for whistleblowing, that's the story that's annoyed me most in the last week. But I don't know if it still counts as topical.
>should the UK close its borders to asylum seekers

It is not so much the asylum seekers as we can at least do medical tests on them.

It is the illegal immigrants who smuggle themselves in in the back of lorries and so on. We have no idea who they are, or where they have come from, or what illnesses they are carrying.

My question would be:

"In the light of swine fever outbreak can this government announce a massive increase in border control funding to try to stop all illegal immigrants coming into this country, something they should have done 10 years ago".
"In view of the Swine Flu threat, should Britain open its borders to anybody who has been within 1000 miles of Mexico in the last few months so they can take free advantage of effective anti-viral therapy"
"....Since Local Councils do less ie gritting/road clearing/filling in pot holes/weekly refuse & gutter clearing etc. Why hasn't Council Tax payments reduced accordingly...."
