Deva Kumarasiri�s is a true patriot, he is so proud to be British and since he has chose to live in Nottingham I presume he is proud to be English also.

He is a credit to this country, and it is a pity that others do not follow his sentiments of why one should be proud to stand up for Britain.

There are some of the white indigenous population who could learn one or two things from this chap.

I bet it has sent the hand-wringers in a bit of a frenzy, trying to fathom out how they can stamp racist on his forehead.
If only all immigrants followed this example!
Yes well as a keen traveller and a hopless learner of other languages I find this hardly worthy of praise!

As The British are regularly regarded as the worst at learning other languages this aint good news for me!

He has also been chucked out of the Lib Dems, that shows them up in their true colours.

Because of his controversial stance, Mr Kumarasiri has also been ejected from the Liberal Democrats, which he represented as a local councillor.

I agree about the British being lazy with languages, but, that said, I think if one of us goes to live in another country, I think the effort will be made, as opposed to just going there for a holiday.

How would you have reacted if this had happened in Wales for example and the English had been banned for not speaking Welsh?
