The fact that the award was for a relatively small amount of �2500 for being locked up for 3 years as against the �150,000 awarded to the congolese locked up for a period of 2 months shows the sympathy for these free loaders is running out of steam. It would not surprise me if the European courts rushed through his unwanted extradition and he will be on the plane to Jordan within weeks. Lets hope so!
Our judicial system is great for the murderers,paedo's and people like the above. Wonderful too for the Congolian family, �150,000 a nice littler earner taken out of the taxpayers wages! We all know the list goes on and on. The Judicial system is about as much good as a wet fart in a whiskey bottle! The "Great" has gone out of Britain!!

I'm absolutely, bitterly ashamed of you and chinadog. My relatives didn't fight in 2 world wars so that 60 years down the line people would whine on in internet chatrooms about the state of Britain without actually trying to do anything about it. Where's your backbone? Where are you British values, about fighting what you believe in? Do something about it or ship out of here with the rest of the wasters.

Has anybody worked out yet whether this minimal fine was imposed because of the first idiotically written law rushed though (later condemned by the Judicial Committee of the House of Lords) or the idiotically written law rushed through which replaced it ? At a guess, it was the first, otherwise any contravention must be still continuing ! You never can tell these days!
Im not Anti British, Im Anti Government, What exactly do they do for us? The Uk is a haven for immigrants,prisoners are treated like anything but! Many people come on Ab and complain about having to pay for their medicines. Benefits are almost thrown to immigrants,jobs have been taken over by the Poles who work for peanuts putting 100's men out of work. People are scared to go out at night for fear of being attacked. Knife crime is at an all time high why? because the law's to bloody lenient. My dad also fought in the war for a better and safer place. If he was alive now he woud be thinking "why the hell did we bother"? In my years I've seen many changes so you must have. I feel no shame in saying the UK 's gone down rapidly and unless the laws change we'll go down even more!!

My dear old friend was a pathfinder in Bomber command and he was frightened to death every time he took to the sky to fight for his country in WWII.

How about the Poles that are working for the minimum wage which a lot of unemployed people couldn't be arsed to work for?

Really? Most people went to war (and certainly this country did) because Hitler was killing people and had annexed Austria and then Poland. Nothing to do with the safety of people in this country.
But still, why let facts get in the way?

Really? Most people went to war (and certainly this country did) because Hitler was killing people and had annexed Austria and then Poland. Nothing to do with the safety of people in this country.

I think vic that a lot of people fought in that war (many after being conscripted) and expected when they retuirned to treat them the way they were treated when they liberated towns and cities in Europe.
They were demobilised and came back with a bump to world where the war was still being paid for.
I don't think some of them ever got over it and spent the rest of their lives moaning.
Then they passed the odious whinging gene to their offspring.
I fully expect in 2200 the place willl be full of "My great great grandfather didn't fight for this country so that the government would just let all these scrounging aliens in choking up the health service - not like the hard working Eastern Europeans we had in my day!"
Give it a rest guys! the life you enjoy in this country is richer than your fathers could have dreamed of on returning from the war, with an annual holiday in Blackpool and a weekly highlight of egg and chips after the cinema
