Yes - and the implications are quite shocking. Not only are allowed to claim for things that most employees in a similar role cannot claim for, but also many of the things are regarded by HMRC as taxable perks on which income tax and employers' NI is due. Either this isn't being paid or the employer (the taxpayer) is paying this as well to HMRC - and the cost of benefit is even greater than stated.
very much, why should they be able to claim for food and laundry, and such like, its a disgrace, as if they dont get enough money as it is without getting even more
they are not taking the p*** but they will charge the taxpayer for it
thery always have and they always will.

you as a taxpayer are helping to fund a lifestyle that they would rather you didnt have access to

they all have their noses in the trough, they are self serving scum, and labour and its "working class" ethos are the worst hypocrites of all

This is one of the reasons why I can't understand people getting on their high horses about those on benefits. Providing they really qualify for them, I'd rather a portion of our taxes be spent on helping the less fortunate, than going to fund ministers jaunts, cheap drinks - and expenses.
