What a suprise, in prison for just 6 days and already smacked off his head.

He's finally being punished for being one of society's dregs and for the crimes he committed but how come it's ok for him to be shooting up in prison?

How do prisoners, in what is said to be a maximum security prison still manage to get their hands on herion?

Where have you read this news Wotsits31? I can't find any reference to it whatsoever on the normal reputable sites.
If he is "smacked off his head" as you put it then i'm not surprised, drugs are freely available in prisons these days. Also with him being a registered heroin addict they will have to supply him with methadone or similar to stop the withdrawal symptoms, there have been some large payouts recently to prisoners who were forced to go cold turkey.
If all prisoners were kept behind glass panels, then no visitor could smuggle the stuff in, to hand over. In which case...it leaves only two more ways. Either someone throws it over a wall or leaves it somewhere at a pre-arranged time (create inner exercise areas, well away from buildings and walls) - or the warders are not as honest as they should be. Governors should make spot checks on their staff & inmates, and let the junkies go cold turkey.

Depends on what you deem reputable daffy! I read it in the Sun Newspaper this morning - and here's the link to the online stuff.

Apparently he is on a methodone programme but is using the real stuff to top up......
the sooner he od's and goes off to meet his maker the better.scum.
Evidence???
When you see the shambling wreck that this guy's become, when he had so much to look forward to, it defies belief that some people want drugs to be legal.
just change the name to George Best and change Illegal to legal Ice, is there really a difference?
None at all dabees. Think we could compile a list of them. These people have everything and nothing.
Then why not make all drugs legal, or illegal? I personally see no difference to anything that does harm. But humans will always experiment, It's in our nature.

If i wish to drink, i will. regardless of it's legality. My choice. Why can't others have the same choice?
the guys a dic head
he got what he rightly deserved
Have to say though,George Best was an addict, but he did a hell of a lot of charity work that was never publicly known and charity work that was very much in the public eye that raised a lot of funds for all sorts of charities
Because it's not just the drugtaker who's harming him or herself - they can literally kill for the stuff, the same as drunks who get behind the wheel a car can kill, and the innocent should never have to be in danger because of someone's lousy habit.
If a person wishes to stay inside and drink or drug themselves into oblivion - fine, it's no loss (apart to their nearest & dearest), but who wants to walk down the road and meet a violent/collapsing/spaced out wreck of a person - whether "famous" or not? That goes for a drunk person as well.
and was one of the greatest football players that we ever produced

o' and all the girls love his son
You're right Linda and ozzie. Pete Doherty probably gives to charity as well, for all I know - but it doesn't make what they did, or do, any better.
Hi Icey :-)...You're right..George's addiction was terrible and ruined his and other lives.I was just saying that although George did all those terrible things that he accepted...he tried to give stuff back by not just throwing money at charities, but, got involved by appearing personally when other personalities would never have even bothered.
I agree with you linda - honestly. Like others in the same boat, he went about things quietly, and yes, to some extent, he was such a hero in footballing circles, that despite his drinking, he could do no wrong. Trouble was, to get back to the original post, at the end, he was a fool to himself. Once he'd had the transplant, he should've taken stock of himself. I'm sure it wouldnt've been easy, but there were so many people there, willing to help. The same goes for Pete. I really think that folk who repeatedly abuse their bodies are unhappy in some way - whether that's to get drugged up, or completely hammered. If they were strong, fulfilled characters, there wouldn't be any need to seek further "thrills".
It wasnt just the football circle that he made a difference in Icey,it was across the board. I'm not trying to make this an acceptable end to his life, but,he went out of his way by promoting those pics of him in hospital,to show what drink addiction can do.
He did, hun. You're right. Yet he couldn't stop himself could he? Just a tragic waste of a man who had so much to give. x
Just occurred to me that Elvis was exactly the same. Died of a drugs overdose whilst whacked out of his head on the toilet.

In fact, celebrity and drugs aren't exactly new...
