Can anyone tell me if it is permitted to take prescibed pills etc. on flights to France from the UK

Sorry, should have added: In cabin baggage
Advisable to carry prescription pills in their original packing
Yes it is, I always carry prescription tablets in both the hold and cabin baggage (in case one set gets lost) and am always fine
we also carry a copy of the prescription which bears the GP's name and address in case they want to check..
Yes I keep my pills - all 7 types of them, with me in my hand luggage/cabin in their original packaging with my repeat prescription and a letter from the doctor with me too.
Because the flight was delayed I had my medication to hand.
