Good Morning everyone, I am letting Tilly have a lie in, (only so I can get on this wonderful addictive chatterbank to chat with all you lovelies. My back is too sore today to go training for the Race for Life so I will have to think of something else. I have housework in mind, but then that doesnt appeal either and that cleaning lady didnt turn up again yesterday so I can see myself trotting back on to Yell dot com to find another funky fairy to come and do it for me.

Mirela - what a flipping EXCELLENT idea. I am going to spend as much time this morning on here as I can until Tilly gets up, then I am going to GUT my kitchen, get things ready for school and work on Monday and then take Tilly swimming. Thanks sweetheart, that is SUCH A GOOD IDEA.

Tilly will go to her friends later this afternoon and then come home. I am really struggling NOT to drink at the moment and I kept off it last night ! I fell off the wagon last weekend but havent had a drink for 6 days now. Tomorrow is the worst day for me as its a lonely day, Tilly goes out to Chinese School where she learns to speak Chinese (maybe its Cantonese), then comes home and then goes horse riding. I always feel at a loss somehow but pray I can keep off the alcohol to releive the boredom.

Thanks for your advice on the swimming, what a fantastic ideal, to reiterate.

shame gravy working weekend, otherwise we could go swimming as well, thats the only sport i like probably lol
dont use drink to kill the boredom, why dont meet fiend, visit your mum, or try to make cakes etc. i usually watch dvd or oh well chating to people on msn!!

which lever tilly's chinese learning is? i can help if she need. i used to help an english mate to learn mandarin, whenever he got questions, he asked me on msn or skype, or whatever. give me a shout u need :))) xx

Oh WOW Mirela, that is WONDERFUL and thank you for that. Our best friends next door but one are Chinese. They come from Hong Kong. Tilly is 10 now and goes to Chinese Sunday School with her Best Friend NG. (We call her Angie). They go on Sunday and learn how to speak and write Cantonese (I think it is), in the afternoons they learn Chinese Culture and then Tai Kwando (forgive my spelling). She LOVES IT and performed on stage at Blackpool Winter Gardens in February for Chinese New Year. I am very proud of her.

We are going on a cruise this year and Angies Mum (my best friend) has just measured me to have 2 Mandarin gowns made in Hong Kong for it. I am having a black one and a red one. They are incredibly inexpensive to have made in Hong Kong as you will probably know. I think I am paying around �60.00 each for them.

I will dig out Tillys chinese books and let you know what it is she is learning. I know for certain that she is getting quite fluent at it as she and Angie tend to converse in Cantonese when they dont want me to know what they are talking about.

lol, katie, im from beijing, know madarin only tho, if she is doing cantonese, i may cant understand her talking either, but culture stuff, definately can help.
what chinese gown, do you mean the traditional dress, silky material, with little high neck, sleeveless? i have three of them, but the other 2 still brand new, havnt got chance to wear yet. oh, btw are u on facebook?x

i had a lovely night out last night with a friend, pizza when i got home, then i saw katies wonderful post on my thread (thank you so much hun), so i went to bed very happy!

Yes those are the dresses I mean. The long ones with a slit up the side. I cant wait to see them but they dont arrive from HK for another few weeks because Angies Uncle is out there at the moment.

I AM on face book but I am still learning how to do it. I have a digital camera which I am going to try and master this weekend (in one of my leisure moments) So no pics as yet I am afraid. I cant wait to get some on there though because as you know I have just lost ELEVEN STONES and want to post pics of a stone at a time !

Tilly has just brought me her Chinese books I will spell them out for yu.

ZHONGWEN. By the looks of it one is a numbers book and the other a song book. I will spell some of the songs out for you. Your guess may be as good as mine however !
