My statement still remains that lefty liberals pamper to the islamic cause and yet these people would exterminate the very people not enabling the rest of us to deal with the situation.
I'm not too sure where you stand from that rant either. Do you want no action against Islamic extremists or are you just saying you dont want to dirty you own hands and want the rest of us to deal with it out of sight.

I swing slightly to the left (oo-err) in most of my politics, but anyone, anyone who points to an entire religion/race/sex and blankets them with Nazi-like zeal such as:

The end result is that they make the world a much worse place for people like me and most moderates.

This sort of question and the "usual suspects" replies it attracts is a principal reason why this site needs some sytem of moderation. Suggesting that anything that comes out of the nightmare that is Middle Eastern politics is applicable to ourselves is so much cr*p.

If a question is considered of sufficiently little merit then we the viewers get the chance to vote it off. I'm definitely one of the 'lefties' on here, but you seem to have no understanding of where we are coming from. None of us support terrorism or fanatical religion of any kind. Speaking for myself, I want law and order, not gibbets and people hanging from streetlamps, and racial and religious tolerance, not foaming at the mouth mistrust of anyone with a slightly different ethnic background. I'm neither pro-Islam, nor pro-Christian. I'm staunchly atheist and believe that belief in either is fundementally childlike and ludicrous, so I'm in favour of judging the individual, and the individual's actions rather than tarring entire communities with large hate filled brush strokes.
There are simple minded people on here that call for torture of criminals, and death to other cultures who cannot see that if there was a referendum, they would vote in a system of law that is 10 times closer to Sharia law than we have now. It's only the liberals saving you morons from yourselves.
