What price do some people put on the life of a child?Whats more important to them ?
Would you value playing x box games more than the life of a 17 month old baby?

Not perhaps looking for another opportunity to be controversial are you ?

Why not post serious, very serious, topics like this in serious areas such as News or S&C ?

(Shall I or shan't I...)

A terrible tragedy that looks like it could have been avoided. From reading that article the family already had social workers involved in their lives and they failed to notice a broken arm?

They should also shoulder some of the responsibility for their neglect.

he only good thing is that the second child has been removed- hopefully she'll now have a chance of a normal upbringing.

H T H ?
At least in the US they hand out fairly decent sentences. Although I think he should be hung, drawn and quartered, at least 47 years will keep him away from other kids.
If this had happened in the UK he would have bleated on in court about having a deprived childhood and probably walked away from court with a community service order.

Have you seen the other child murder story in the news today? A woman in the US was annoyed by her baby crying so she killed it by putting it in the microwave on full power.

Words fail me.

Do you reckon the mother was at fault too?I wondered myself but the fathers away for good.Wasnt she asleep when the child was killed?
You are joking Mrs O? The very thought of that make my stomach do flip flops. What on earth is the world coming to?
Question Author
OMG when i read microwave .
sick
Sheesh Boo, I would NOT joke about something like that!
The story was in yesterdays Daily Mail, p.28. The baby was 4 weeks old.
No sorry Mrs O, I didn't mean that it was a joke, it was more an expression of shock on my part, that obviously didn't travel well!

I've since Googled about this case and like you, words fail me.
Both stories beggar belief -shocking beyond words.

Just as an addendum to Mrs O post (not as serious but could have been) do you recall last week a story of a 3yr old and a one yr old balancing on the balcony of their flat (in the afternoon) and the poilce had to coax them back into the house -when they got in the father was lying blind drunk and couldnt be roused and the mother was fast asleep 'medication' in the bedroom and the father walked free - exconerated.Couldnt believe it.
Question Author
strange indeed
Cant find the story either for a link -but its true.
I would be willing to offer a personal service to scum parents like these.
For lowlife fathers, all I would need is 2 bricks and for the mothers, a blunt, rusty scalpel.
It's sickening. Nothing disturbs me more than murdering a baby. I doubt it was the xabox that did it, I expect she could have knocked over a cup of juice, or asked for a bag of crosps. It's times like this, I have my fingers crossed that there really is a god.
Question Author
Its times like this i doubt theres a god

I can totally understand that, and don;t get me wrong, I'm not really a practising Christian but it seems like such a waste of an innocent life if there is nothing better for her afterlife.
