Is all the water from the recent floods just going to be left to soak into the ground.

Could people be able to store it say in buckets or in their baths.

Could water companies suck it up in their tanker trucks and transport it to where other places are in drought?

There are plans to dilute it.

Quite probably, but they'll make far more profit by leaving it and then claiming there is a shortage in a few months time.
