Racism - what is it ?
Channel 4 are having to apologise about 'racism' on Big Brother. This country has gone barking mad. I really believe we (who is we?) will not be happy until we have an entirely Black, muslim, gay, government and have legislated anything vaguely White out of existence.
So what is racism ? It is reported tonight that there is a rising incidence of 'racism' in Britain, especially in the North. What it indicates is that white and black and purple people sometimes do not like each other. It's very simple - but why ? Aren't we all the same underneath our skin ?
Again, the truth is that we are not. Racism - which I redefine as a dislike of one culture for another - is never never going to go away, unless we get an Islamic state (I give it 50 years) when it will then be ok to behead all infidels and execute all gays, oh and what a wonderful world it will be.

Positive discrimination - Well I have a vested interest in a level playing field. My sons need jobs and the fire service and police force would be a good move for them. Why should they be deprived of opportunity because they are white?
Surely the criteria should be entrance exams, fitness, attitude, and even psychometric testing.

This is deviating a bit, but jno a friend of mine saw a public beheading in Saudia Arabia once, he said it was ghastly, unsurprisingly. The natural attitude adopted if you are about to be decapitated is to huddle into a ball, so the executioner gives you a sharp jab at the base of the spine with the point of the sword whereupon you arch upwards, and thwack, but they sometimes miss or need several swipes. Lovely.
Positive discrimination: A good internet friend of mine was mustard keen to join the police but was told that as he is white, his prospects of success were slim. That's lovely too.

Tell them that if they're good enough they'll get into the police. If they're among the most rubbish of white applicants, they might struggle - but they can be safe in the knowledge that by being overlooked they're helping to rid the police force of its institutional racism. And they're making the country a safer place.
Then again, Theland, if they share your views on Muslims, it's probably best that they look for employment elsewhere wouldn't you think?

Actually, I don't agree with CH4 having to apologise. They simply broadcast what happened in the Big Brother house. They didn't encourage the actions/views - they just showed what happened.
I mean, there was that documentary about racists in the Metropolitan Police Force a few years back (The Secret Policemen)...the BBC didn't have to issue an apology after that!

I think people are quick to mention the Daily Mail when they read a question like this because it's just typical Daily Mail hysteria.
I mean 99.9% of British politicians and people in positions of influence in Britain - are White and British. Statistically people who are White and British fare better than non-whites or foreigners in almost any category you care to name including average income. People who are white and British generally not only have a far more privelaged life than than the other people in Britain but a far more privelaged life than most other people anywhere else in the world.
But still the media are able to brainwash people into this poor persecuted victim mentality. I mean talk about blacks and asians taking over the government - I bet most people can't even name 2 non-white politicians!! I think people are prone to this sort of brainwashing because being the victim provides them with a certain amount of comfort and gives tham a target to take their anger and frustrations out on.

NJOK - My attitude to muslims is that in this country, they should be equally protected by the laws that apply to the rest of us, and they should obey the laws that apply to the rest of us.
That is the attitude that I hope I have passed on to my kids.

Theland, Islam is a law unto itself, and indeed why not because it doesn't just believe it is completely right, it darn well knows it. Given that it is the only religion (religion ? entire culture and way of life more like) in this country that is growing, isn't it fairly obvious where things will go - eventually, even if many years down the road.

I hope this isn't going to turn into another debate over Anglo-American policy in the Middle East. I have a very simplistic view on this. The aim of fundamentalist Islam is the complete eradication of the State of Israel, not a peaceful co-existence, complete annihilation of the country and all its people. This extends to all infidels. Extreme maybe, but inexorable. The USA happens to be the strongest military force in the world by a huge margin, and if it chooses to use that might to defer the fateful times, then I'm all for it, WOMD or no WOMD, oil or no oil, fabricated excuse or none.
I was shocked to hear that violent racism had spread to our town last week. A Pakistani guy who worked in a shop was repeatedly stabbed by a 15 year old chav whilst getting a torrent of racial abuse.
I don't feel people can complain about churches being converted into Mosques as people rarely go to church anymore at all. Unless of course a group of sword wielding Muslims ran into the church mid~sunday service, beheaded the vicar and the very full congregation and declared it "theirs". Then of course it's a very sad affair indeed. Is it as disappointing when an athiest yuppie couple move to the sticks and convert a chapel to live in?

I still maintain my viewpoint which was vilified and publicly humiliated last year, that the problem with Asians and Blacks is there is no middle ground with their inteliigence. The white man ranges from genius to absolute idiots, but the vast majority are in the middle.
Your average coloured person does not exist. They are highly intelligent (Doctors, Lawyers etc, though careers may be less) or as thick as a plank. There is no middle ground at all.
This in turn may stereotype the blackman in the media. I for one hate the ones who think they are some kind of American Ghetto ganngsta and talk with the patwa accent. They all wear those baggy trousers and silly hats and think they are the dogs dodars. Why oh why do they say "You know what I'm saying" after even simple sentences. And most of them either carry weapons or want one.
