Punishment really fitting their crime?

Jade Goody has had her home vandalised and has checked into The Priory having a rumoured nervous breakdown. Jo O'Meara has been unable to return home since leaving the CBB House due to death threats. Both appear to now be broken women with successful careers in tatters. Danielle Lloyd is unlikely to fare much better. Do you really think what they did deserves this? Is their punishment fitting their so-called crime? If so, how far do you want this to go? Jo for one is said to be suicidal - will she have to take her life for you to be satisfied? Are you the ones calling for Sharia Law in this country - a life in which people who steal have their hands chopped off, etc? Is how you want things to be?

I agree, CBB has got totally out of hand. Channel 4 have exploited the girls to make money. I don't think they were racist, just foolish in the way they handled themselves. If she was irish we wouldn't be jumping up and down if someone took the mickey out of an irish accent.
Jodie Marsh was bullied in the same manner last year but no-one said anything them. Oh sorry I forgot she wasn't of a foreign origin!
The trouble is you have 3 silly girls with very limited intelligence and you then provide the school playground and the perfect conditions to create a bully/bullied situation. Then you put the whole thing on TV where millions of people watch it. I think the trio that we are talking about where enjoying themselves so much tormenting their target they forgot that the country was watching and they also fauiled to realise that the public/media would take retribution.

I think the punishement for these three has been dis proportionate but I can't help feeling that the tears are crocodile, Jade for example seemed desperately upset because she realised that she'd just inverted her only ever chance at fame and fortune.
Ermmmmm, singling people out on a thread is an AB no no, didn't ya know that? Especially TCL (gotta bit of a soft spot for him ;-) )

Anyhooooooooooos.....back to the topic. Jade will bounce back, it'll die down and she'll once again recoup her millions, possibly make more even!

Jo's career was in tatters anyway- didn't I read that her house was due to be repossessed BEFORE she went in the house?

Danielle will no doubt get her boobs out for every lads mag going- she'll be laughing all the way to the bank.

So in the long run, no, I don't think their careers are permanently damaged.

Loosehead, some are also saying Jo is shedding crocodile tears but what if she and Jade's angst is genuine? And, considering everything that's been flung at them since leaving CBB, surely there's a strong chance it's genuine.
Whether it's genuine or not I think they've suffered enough, However I don't think the media etc will drop it for a while.

Good Lord!

Hang on a moment...I would never support the kind of retribution that's being handed out to Jade. C'mon, that's not fair...Jade has kids and they must be scared out of their wits. I really hope you don't put me in the same bracket as those who would got round to her house to terrify her family.

As I've said before, I believe Jade, with careful management might 'do a Beckham' and bounce back.

Jo O'Meara? Successful career?

Ermmm...do you know something we don't know, because I follow the pop charts and read Heat magazine and wasn't aware that she was troubling Kylie in terms of national consciousness!!!
Wooooooohooooooooooo!!!

Free publicity for me! Oh yeah!

More seriously, I have in fact stated in the past that the two features of Islam/Islamic culture that I've ever objected to are a) the full-face veil/hijab and b) the suggestion of Sharia Law in the UK. So clearly you're being very daft and ignorant indeed to group me with such people.

Nope...I think it's gone too far. I would be happy to see the killers of, say, Anthony Walker or Kris Donald to suffer the fate that Jade has...no, I would like them to suffer MORE. I'd like those kinds of racists to be assigned a jail cell with a great big gay Rasta who wants a new 'wife'.

It's not my fault that the country went a bit mad, but the good thing that's come out of it is the front page of The Sun today.

Amazing.

But as to these three girls...too much...way too much.

Are you the ones calling for Sharia Law in this country - a life in which people who steal have their hands chopped off, etc? Is how you want things to be?

Errr...no - being gay myself, can you just imagine what those calling for Sharia Law would chop off me?

Doesn't really bear thinking about....

just because we don't all love jade and co - as you seem to - doesn't mean we all want them to be hounded and abused!!

where exactly has anyone said that?

yes, most people don't like jade and are glad that she has got her comeuppence, but seriously, your bizarre support campaign for jade is getting a bit ridiculous and tedious.

you cannot and will not change peoples opinions of jade - so just accept it.

It's not about loving Jade or wanting minds changed about her, joko, it's about getting a sense of perspective and humanity. A greater clarification of where you stand - ie.simply answering the questions posed - would be appreciated.
Where is Corbyloon, anyway?
i, and numerous others, have answered your repeated 'questions' over and over again - yet you ask again.
Question Author
you've only answered one of these questions, joko.

By the way - kudos to you for getting a mention of 'Sharia Law' into a question which centres on the treatment of three ex-Big Brother contestants.

Jo's apology:
Meara Shilpa, Meara Shilpa...
sp1814 - you read Heat magazine and you have the nerve to question my sanity.
I was hoping this would have ended by now but since ma name's been highlighted I have to respond.

craigiep Jo O'Meara suggested on GMTV this morning that Channel Four had abandoned her and yet they AND her PR company say that is not the case. She had a panic attack whilst in the House and said at the time she has had them before, so it would seem that she has psychological problems already.

Regarding her successful career, why then, did her own sister say on GMTV the other week that Jo was doing BB because she needed the money? She said that she too was shocked by what Jo had said and done.

As for HER successful career, Jades famous for being famous and uneducated, her most recent ventures have been a Beauty Salon called "Ugly's" which closed and a fitness video in which she claimed to have lost two stone and dropped two dress sizes but in reality had undergone liposuction. Her definition of the word truth seems to be at odds wi the dictionarys.

I read a report saying that Essex police had logged an incident regarding her house but they said the damage was a cracked pane of glass.

She supported an anti-bullying charity but didn't practise what she preached..

Both have been affected mentally but it is of their own making. Big Brother did not turn them into racists or bullies, those characteristics were there already. As for my wanting a suicide what rubbish!

Why have you mentioned Sharia Law? The only Muslim involved in BB was Jermaine Jackson and he was the one keeping the peace!

Finally, B00 I hope youre not meaning that patch of swamp out the back

CORBYLOON, it's disturbing to think that sp1814 admires the intellectual content of your responses. Firstly, you clearly haven't read this question properly. I don't raise the issue of Sharia Law in reference to the CBB Housemates but in relation to how some people appear to be wanting Jade and co punished for what they did. Secondly, neither you nor joko are really answering the questions posed here which may create disturbing assumptions as to what your true answers would be. However, it's obviously your preoragative if you choose not to respond properly.
