Does this remind anybody of Hoover's Flights to America?

or is it just a pre-Christmas stunt?

Has anyone actually got 40% off with one of these vouchers yet?

Havent tried it.. saw the report though, which suggested some 800,000 downloads.

Now you mention it, it does seem reminiscent of the Hoover fiasco....
No, it is not a con. Just print the voucher from bendy's link and pop along to any of the stores in the Thresher group. But if your local Sainsburys, Tesco, Asda etc is doing a 3 for the price of 2 do a bit of arithmetic first to see which is the better.
They said on the news that even with 40% off Threshers would still make a profit as there is such a mark up and will probably honour the vouchers.
deffo a real deal as it went round the office on Wednesday so we got the office junior to go check it out - its real ok. saved himself a bit but im used to asda prices so its still quite expensive - even with 40% off.
I got one of these vouchers through work on thursday and sent it to everyone one I knew with an e-mail address as did all my colleagues. Part of me feels this was intended, they could have seen this coming and if not they need to sack their marketing manager. happys days for me anyway.
1. It's only wine and champagne which they are already doing at "buy 3, pay for two" (which is nearly 40 percent discount).
2. People will be buying other goods while they are there
3. If they didn't know what was coming, they would not have had the stock in to meet the unexpected visitors.
4. Its only for another 6 days.

They knew exactly what was happening and have stolen a march on all the other operators who will have to discount their heavy stocks just before Christmas. Master marketing.
