teachers really known for drinking lots of coffee?

are teachers really known for drinking lots of coffee, if its to keep them perked up during the day , why not heavy coffee useage in other professions which must share the same hours?, or could it be possibly the teachers live greater distances from their place of work and get up far earlier -and therefore have a longer day -hence the coffee?

When I was teaching I drank lots of coffee,because I didn't have time to eat.Lunchtimes are only 30 minutes & by the time you've sorted out any problems the pupils might have,there was no time to get lunch.

What gowergirl said probably applies with smoking as well - at least according to some of my tutors at college.
