I'm totally gutted that the mannequin story isn't true. However, in my own head, I shall keep believing, because funny (false, but funny).
Everyone I work with despises Madonna to one degree or another.
They are all wrong...as too is L Williams who wrote the following letter to Metro today:
'Don't all the people criticising Madonna see that they're playing right into the attention seeker's hands? At least (the adoption of David) gives her something better to do than flaunt her half-naked, prehistoric body in our faces'.
If I ever catch up with this L Williams, there'll be trub.

It doesnt matter does it, it should be kept private because they have a child. She was never going to be the love of his life and I imagine that must have caused some bitterness in their relatioship.
From personal experience, I try not to speak ill of my kids dad infront of them. I wouldnt want them thinking that their daddy battered their mum especially when he had been a good father.
Why do people hate her so much? If she had pysical evidence of being beaten by him, would people actually care for her some more. A bit like when old Beckham cheated on his missus I never understood why everyone blamed her. Cheating ratbag.

Whenever I read stories of wife-beating, by default, I believe the woman. Don't know why...I just do.
However, with this story...I just don't. I don't like the fact that I don't, but I don't.
You ask why people don't like her. I honestly think part of it is the suspicion that she's a gold digger (unproven) and the high regard in which the public held Linda McCartney...
...which is ironic, because she was hated when she married Paul in the sixties (mostly by female Beatles fans for 'taking him away').
Perhaps time will improve her public standing.

Its weird isnt it. Its because he has been this gentle soul in the eyes of the public for so long. My ex has friends that look at me in disgust when they see me. One even knows that he broke my arm and yet still takes his side cause he only seems like that happy guy who buys him a drink.

I believe some of her allegations are unbelieveable, like the one where she says she was forced to crawl up the plane steps on her hands and knees as he hadn't made arrangements for a flight of steps wide enough for a wheelchair. Sorry I thought wheelchairs were usually lifted to the doors of a plane on a lift thing, maybe if it's a private jet there are different arrangements but surely no airport would force her to crawl.

She refused to go to the aftershow party and went for a meal with her sister, so he removed her bodyguard and she had to walk for half an hour back to her hotel amid streets full of fans, no taxi available.. She does not say if anyone even recognised her!

I agree with Goodsoulette on the fact that these allegations should not have been made public because there's nothing worse for a child feeling that they have to take sides.

I havent actually read all the allegations but have obviously picked up on what some of them are on here. Sir Paul is a hero of mine and has been since i can remember. If i didnt know about how happy his marriage to Linda was then i would perhaps be inclined to believe her, but i cant believe this man would do such things.
From all that i have seen of Paul over the years, he is a lovely kind, caring family man. I dont know him, thats true, as none of us do, but sometimes you hear stuff like this and it doesnt come as a surprise. All this about him, does. I never disliked Heather but i hate now how his reputation is becoming tarnished because of her. I agree with whaty another poster said, she has an air of steel about her and it makes you wonder.

Its hard to say, though the fact that all her allegations have come out just when P.M. wants to have child custody seems too much of a coincidence. Then again, their lives were private, nobody but they know what really went on behind closed doors so who knows if she really is telling the truth ...

I agree with Waldo that it's almost impossible to tell, but personally as I've said before she was always going to be up against it with regard to the public accepting her! Mind you I think she's will have earned every penny she is going to get after being stuck with the boring one for a few years!! Can hardly believe that someone who helped revolutionise the pop music industry ended up being as borrrring as him...just think pipes of piece etc!!
