from the day they started coming here they have been a threat to our culture and identity and they arent gonna stop.

Because they have a right to live here and because a democratic society listens to the view of its citizens. Should we really boot out a whole section of our society on the basis that a few misguided idios read the Koran incorrectly and think that violence is the way to make progress.
Did we considering booting our all the Irish when the IRA were bombing the UK, of course we didn't so I fail to see the difference.
Trust me i am no 'lefty' as you choose to phase those who embrace mutilcultralism but it really is the only way forward and long may it continue.

This society is only allowed to listen to the view of it's 'muslim' citizens.
If the wider population were allowed to express their honest opinion without fear of someone branding them racist, most would admit that muslims are given far too special treatment.

Why is criticising the policies of a nation a disgrace? Isn't that what democracy and freedom of expression is all about?
It isn't just Moslems who are concerned about the foreign policy of Britain. A million people marched against the war in Iraq and they were from all sections of our society and we were all ignored by Tony Blair's government. It's only totalitarian regimes including the Nazis, the Taliban, the military junta of Burma, the Saudi princes and the old Soviet systems that oppose freedom of expression and dissention. I'm all for people voicing their opinions.
Other cultures that have settled in Britain, like the Hindus, Sikhs, Jews, Chinese and others have all maintained their traditional beliefs, but have more easily accepted than the Moslem community that change is a two way street.
We do need to show a greater understanding of Moslem fears in the Middle East, but they too need to accept that many of the problems in the Moslem community of Britain are not the fault of the Brits or the west, but more the breakdown in relations between generations within the Moslem community and the inability of moderate Moslem leaders to effectively challenge the violent rhetoric of the extremists.
As for maintaining our cultural identity and heritage, what exactly does that mean? If you mean dreams of Empire and saluting the flag, well even the Scots, Welsh and Irish have problems with that. If you mean the right to freely express your opinion, the right to publish material that some may find offensive and the right of all women to be considered equal and heard in equal measure, then I'm with you.

If when people around the world and especially Muslims came to settle here, they were made to accept the culture and traditions of Britain as the dominant ones in their lives then there would be far less division than we see today.
But instead they have been encouraged to see their way as the one to follow at odds with the vast majority of this country.
Not only that they have been allowed to isolate themselves and exclude outsiders which has led to the current situation.
Islam is the only religion that can get away with some of its followers calling for the death of jews (racism) and the persecution of gays (homophobia).
These 2 cherished causes of the left are rigorously enforced on the rest of society but overlooked when Muslims call for these acts to be carried out.
But instead they have been encouraged to see their way as the one to follow at odds with the vast majority of this country.

I am by no means racist, but am getting rather fed up with all the tip toeing around multi culturism annd special treatment being given to minorities and also the refusal of the most of the Moslem community to speak out against terrorism which recently seems to be carried out exclusively by young BRITISH Moslems, i am sadly swaying over to vewing the Moslem community with suspicion, its bad i know to feel that way, but i cant help the way i feel and i suspect a lot of other people who normally reasonable are starting to feel that way. I do not wish to enter into a debate on here of the rights and wrongs of my opinion, just stating my view and am sad i am changing like this .
i cant be bothered with semantic arguements but i'll tell you what our heritage isnt , it isnt black asian or muslim.

We are a nation of 60 million people and "they" form around 1 million of them, they are no different to anyone else with the exception of a few extremists.

... and this is where racism creeps into an argument - it started off by talking about a minority of extremist muslims, goes to then talking about all muslims and finally to, baclks, asians and muslims.

I despise the fundamentalists and extremists of all faiths as much as anyone else, but the majority of Moslems in this country are decent, hard working people trying to raise their families as best they can, just like me.

i actually spoke to 2 WWII vets outside my local sainsburys who were collecting for the RAF benevolent fund, and believe me they ddint fight to give this country over to these people. They both said they were sickened to see what is happening to this country, but of course as usual people like you dont like the truth, all you can do is accuse patriotic people of being racist, lot of use you will be when we have to fight these people on our own soil, which is the only way it will end.
As far as i am concerned people like you are nothing more than traitors, you should be protecting your country from foreign influence, but like the sad fool you are you encourage it !
