Vagus, I don't know the first thing about photography and have no idea how to change a photo.

All I can tell you is the media are now saying that Catherines face has been changed to make it look like she is really well and happy. Some people ( not me ) are now saying because this photo was messed with, perhaps she is really poorly after all. It hasn't improved the situation.

My take: a bit of naivete on Catherine's part. She thought she would enhance the photo, maybe taking the best bits from the set William took. But hadn't realised the "rules" agencies have.

Barsel - I think you are reading too much into this (photo)  The camera is focused on Charlotte and Louis's faces. Hence, Catherine and George are slightly out of focus.  That's how it looks to me anyway.

How many other photos Kate has taken have been adjusted by her, in her amateur photographer mode? Probably a lot of them.

The difference this time is everyone seems to be making a meal of it because she's been ill, and have latched on to it and are now making a huge issue out of nothing.

Ok, I'm leaving this now, but before I do, let me tell you that the question being asked now is, when was that photo actually taken, and are they trying to fool people just to keep them quiet.

Who says they are trying to fool anyone?  It was a pic of mum and three kids released for mother's day.  It did not have to be taken that day or the day before!

The pic I was doing for my mum was taken 5 years ago!

I know I said I would leave it there, but Barmaid, that photo could have been taken months ago when Catherine looked well and sent out to the press so people would look at it and be happy that Catherine looks really well. I honestly don't believe that Catherine knew they ( Kensington Palace) were going to release it for Mothers Day.

I think that's an absolute disgrace there were 153 posts re a *** photograph.  Did the editing of the photograph hurt anybody on here  - no.  But I am sure the malarkey around this has upset Princess Kate and Wills.  She's not well - so leave her alone for goodness sake.  They are all just human just like ourselves.

Digital photos contain data which cannot be altered; this includes the date and time it was taken.

Has everyone ignored the fact that she's been seen twice in the past week? Alive...unless she was propped up in the cars next to her mum and William.

Non of this would have happened if the associated press agency had'nt put a kill notice on the photo. They should have contacted the royal family for an explanation before doing that
