Not had one for ages. But it used to be a favourite, and unless they did something daft and changed the recipe, I think it a mistake to drop it.

I used to love caramac  I didn't realise it was still around.  NNw I only like dark chocolate, but i wouldn't mind trying a bit.

Not had one for a donkey's age, but I seem to recall they were quite sickly-sweet.

I bet it's more than 30 years since I had a walnut whip.

Loved them but thought they were too expensive

Absolute filth ...

Not in the least. I use chocolate for chilli con carne only

Ellipsis, many a man was disappointed to learn that the Caramel bunny is the marvelous  Miriam Margolyes

That's puts me right off Barry.   Can't stand that woman!

She's so crude now, used to be a fan .

Question Author

how nice to have an almost 100% pleasant thread in news

Question Author

Also Miriam never used to be so crude - I think she got to an age where she just wanted to be herself and not what others thought she should be

DM headline

"Iconic chocolate bar is discontinued"

"The caramel-based chocolate bar first appeared on shelves in 1959...

...the iconic bar - which is made from condensed milk and treacle and doesn't contain chocolate..."

Eh?

For me  it's

Hot milk

Bananas

Chicken and turkey manure

Sorry.  Wrong thread!

Yuch.Never a favourite of mine.Far too sickly sweet for my liking.

> Also Miriam never used to be so crude

I think Queen Elizabeth I had something to do with it ...

All the chocolate bars I loved have all been tampered with to make them as cheap as possible to make changing the recipes, making them smaller yet more expensive. I buy non famous brands now.

I am hooked in the two finger Caramel Kit Kat .....

The DM is stupid.  Caramac was never marketed as a chocolate bar.  I recall it being called a candy bar.

One chocolate bar i really miss is the Topic Bar.I see from Google it was discontinued in 2022.Shame.
