...but something else caught my attention this week. A Labour MP stood up and asked for some sort of apology for Slavery on behalf of the late (barmy) Bernie Grant. That didn't surprise me what did is that an MP did not know how to pronounce the word "Ask" - she kept saying "aks" aaaaarrrrrgggggghhhhhh!

Was the said MP 'of colour'?
Bernie Grant and his sidekick Abacus who gleefully stated the 'police got a b****y good hiding at the Broadwater Farm Estate after PC Keith Blakelock was hacked to death by Machete wielding murderous low life thugs. Bernie Grant can rot in hell and hopefully Abacus will soon follow him. Rant over. The very mention of Grant winds me up.
What has that got to do with it? Are you suggesting non whites can speak properly? That is extremely racist.

Love the new avatar YMB!
Grant, a hard left politician, wasnt a particularly pleasant individual.
Thanks TTT
YMB

I think what he's suggesting is that ,given that Bernie Grant was black then the MP in question must have been black
The word wasn't "ask" it was "aks" so how would you pronounce it?
Maybe, doesnt read that way though.
I haven’t had a Domino’s pizza for donkeys years but the last time I did I couldn’t believe how expensive they were!
I think you have the wrong thread...
Corby, what’s aks?
Question Author
Naomi, the word she was trying to say was "ask" several times, not "Axe" but she, like a lot of poorly educated people said "aks".
Question Author
FYI it was Bell Ribeiro-addy.
TTT, oh, Corby meant axe! I get that she was saying ask.
Question Author
he may have meant "axe" but she was trying to say "ask".
I know. I get that TTT. I just don’t get what Corby is talking about.
Question Author
See Here from 27 mins in:
The word she wants is clearly "ask":
at 27:45 several in a row, there is no doubt.

Question Author
Naomi: "I know. I get that TTT. I just don’t get what Corby is talking about." - he's a professional contrarian, he's doing that and completely spuriously as usual.
