Apologies if this has already been posted - i did do a search but found nothing.
Totally surprised that this cretin didn't get a few snooker cues wrapped around his head.

Not worth a sportsman getting himself done for assault just to vent his anger on these idiots - leave it up to security staff.

I wonder if this action persuaded anyone to support their cause?
It's going to happen at some point.

IMHO security should have taken them 'round the back' for a kicking. Plod and the ultra liberal left judiciary will do nothing apart from making them a cup of latte.
Doesnt have to be the sportsman though Davebro. One day someone's patience will run out.
MAABOF!

I was thinking members of the audience, Dave. I know i'd have been sorely tempted to snatch a cue from one of the players and take the thick end to this guys head.
But then i'd probably realise i'd have to pay for a new cue, and remain seated:-/
....if they did it in the Chinese open they'd get more respect.
it's just that the people holding the cues are the sportsmen - and their cues are precious so they wouldn't want to risk damaging them
just use the rest dave one on each end of the table!
BBC TV bloke just termed it "carnage at the snooker". It was hardly that (carnage - the killing of many people). A sense of proportion is needed I think.
well done to him... his cause is right and his methods were peaceful and harmed absolutely nobody.

I admire anyone willing to stand up for the planet in such a way!
Oh here we go again.
//...his cause is right//

What, just because he says so. I understand "Just Stop Oil" want the government to cease issuing licences for further oil exploration. They obviously haven't thought through the ramifications of stopping oil production (the uses of which extend considerably further than burning it as fuel).

//... and his methods were peaceful//

It can never be "peaceful" to trespass into an area where you are not permitted to go and to commit criminal damage.

//...and harmed absolutely nobody.//

What about the people who had paid to watch the match? Does not spoiling their enjoyment count as "harm."
I hate these eco nutcases with a passion. All it does is make me want to do the exact opposite of what they want.
no it does not count as harm newjudge
Yes it does. Unless you are a communist agitator.

They committed a crime and thats all there is to it. They will now be on the PNC and have a criminal record.
"t can never be "peaceful" to trespass into an area where you are not permitted to go and to commit criminal damage"

not a single human being was hurt by this and damage to property will extend generously to the cleaning costs of 1 snooker table... it's not legal but it is peaceful
oh please lol the viewers who had their "entertainment spoiled" have not been hurt in any way. They are not "harmed" they are inconvenienced
"well done to him... his cause is right and his methods were peaceful and harmed absolutely nobody."

The action has resulted in the schedule's having to be amended and there will have to be sessions on what was meant to be a non-playing day so that will have cost implications and the players will be affected.
Not to mention costs (and more travel and fuel burnt) for the spectators to get to see it.

Idiots as are their supporters. Not a clue about oil either.
I wonder how many people he has drawn to his cause due to this action?
