firstly i am a teenager that likes to go out and enjoy myself, last weekend i was grounded for bad behavour, i did not accept this, sneaked out and went to a party, i came home at 2am smelling of alcohol, had a row with my parents and swore at my mum.
Now my parents have said they are not putting up with my *** any longer TOTAL LOCKDOWN i have got to spend the next 4 weekends LOCKED IN my room as a punishment, NO tv NO phone just 4 walls and TOTAL boredom, i have been locked in my room ALL day and i HATE it , i dont like the feeling of not being able to get out, my sister says i DESERVE to be locked in and punished, and before you ask i am allowed my pc for a couple of hours per day for homework reasons , i have LOST my freedom i have to go to school from monday to friday then locked in my room for the weekend WHY IS PUNISHMENT SO PAINFUL?

Seriously, if you study while you're at school you'll soon be off to college and then you will be free of your overbearing parents. You'll be able to drink as much as you like, stay out as late as you like, life will be one long party. But until then you have to follow house rules.

Stone walls do not s prison make nor iron bars a cage.
Take some books into your room and catch up on your reading.
You sound suspiciously like a poster from about 2-3 years who was always getting total lockdowns for similar actions?
I was about to post the same...
One of bigbeckys from 2018 was very similar to
Another good spot Prudie - you'd think 'these' teenagers would have grown up by now. :))
Maybe being locked in their room has stunted their growth :-)
We that are old may not know the resentment the young feel. Strict parents could seem martinetes to youngsters full of life.
This sounds very familiar. I remember spending time answering a few years ago.

Yes, 'Big Becky' (I've scrolled down).
'Bye! (If it's a real problem the answer is 'sort yourself out'.)
Do you not think it's your fault?
So only strict parents would do something about their child coming in at 2am, smelling of drink and swearing at them? That explains a lot then.
What age are you this time?
You are clearly a girl who just wants to have fun
do you want to come around to my house?
I will supply the booze
They should lock you up for a year, and hopefully lose the key.
You asked a question - my reply is Yes.

Yes you deserve to be locked in your room as a punishment.
Try to be honest and respectful toward your parents.
