i am on punishment for sneaking out and drinking underage, i have asked parents for their opinon on the matter, so for all i have heard is i am in the wrong and its right i should be punished, i wonder how many grown ups would have sneaked out and drunk alcohol if they were in the same position as me, now i am LOCKED UP in my room as a punishment, dig deep into your concious, do i really deserve to be locked in my room and punished or should i be let off ?

Experience love, we've been there - now we've bought and own the horses.

Yes we were young. Some of us followed the rules though. I never snuck out drinking.
My parents wouldn’t have locked me in a room, but I’d have been royally grounded. You need to suck it up buttercup.
You're not related to this lass are you?

How old are you? Do you do anything to help your parents - chores around the house / a part-time job ?

Maybe if you can convince them that you won't do the silly alcohol thing again they will stop the punishment.
imagine having parents who cared about you so little they let you do whatever you like!
Mamya, that's the first thing that sprang to my mind.
Yes, clear as day.
Aren't you grateful that they didn't confiscate your phone/laptop? Now that would have been cruel!
the thing to do is remember these feelings of yours when some day you're telling your own children to behave.
You shone like the sun,
Shine on you crazy diamond
Mmamya/judge - my thoughts exactly. If genuine : yes we do and we had to work harder and behave better than this generation, or possibly just you, seem to think is acceptable.
When I was young I wouldn't have gone against my parents wishes as I had respect for them. If you don't want to hear the truth don't put these kind of posts on here. I feel sorry for your parents, they must wonder what on earth they've done to get you.
Yes, I think most people on here would remember what it was like to be young. It was good to have fun. But the fun didn't involved getting drunk and throwing dustbins around. Where's the fun in that?
It's because we were not selfish, entitled brats that we don't sympathise with you. Respect for your parents who are concerned for your welfare should be your first consideration. Can you imagine how they must be feeling in all of this? No, I don't suppose you can because you are too focused on your own sense of grievance. Think about them for a change, instead of complaining when they try to protect you from making (a) a fool of yourself (b) getting intro trouble with the law (c) getting attacked or assaulted while you are too drunk to protect yourself (d) getting sick because your young body is not yet equipped to deal with the effects of large amounts of alcohol. And then feel grateful that there are people in this world who care enough about you to protect you from all of this.
All mILLY DID WA
All Milly did was drink some alcohol when she was younger than the law allows. That's just healthy curiosity. Please, ABers, give the child a break. A lot here seem to be purse-lipped disapprovers of young people.
Atheist, we have been here before.
Sorry, Mamy, when was that? Am I being repetitious?
It is my opinion that Milly is bigbecky, as I linked earlier.

ps

There's nothing po faced or purse lipped about me.
Thanks, Mamy. I don't understand or want to get involved in the world of people hiding and posing as others. I'm a simple soul and answer questions as I see them.
