Every now and again there are birds flying around. You'd think that they would cancel their flight plans:)
We get some strong, scary winds here which I hate. Facing that would terrify me.
I’ve been caught in a hurricane and it is pretty scary. Fascinating to see the preparation for its arrival though. All. clever stuff.
A policeman has just, very sensibly, gone onto the pier and told everyone to move back.
I hope it won't, but I expect it will head up the East coast in a few days. I'll be keeping my eye on it.
I see it's caused a total electricity outage in Cuba.
Bet the policeman really needs sightseers around. Potty people!
There were two people down on the beach a few minutes ago :-(
It's due to track across Florida, Pasta, and weaken (as they do when crossing land).

If they don’t shift themselves they’ll very soon be flying!
If I lived in that part of the USA I might very well have become a storm chaser!
And Fiona's out in the Atlantic somewhere according to one of my friends who is cruising in that area (keeping us updated on Facebook).
they're expecting another one on the Canadian Atlantic coast, having just had one. That's a huge distance north.
Yep, there's a 1002 low off the coast of Newfoundland & Labrador province.

I can remember people being alarmed because Felix was heading as far north as DC (at the same time as I was!)

And now they're heding for Labrador?

I just looked again and that pier is almost submerged...It must really be well-constructed.
