From Sky News.
Johnson appears before the liaison committee.

The Liaison Committee has started
Boris Johnson is being quizzed by the committee, which is made up of the chairs of Commons committees.
One of the main topics is "integrity in politics".
But chair of the Liaison Committee Sir Bernard Jenkin has said they will address integrity in politics at the end of the session.
He warns if the PM has long answers they will simply detain him longer.

He’s in for a torrid afternoon.
Meanwhile, Gove wants him gone.

It’s actually funny now watching him putting himself through such self-flagellation and public ridicule.
He must be an Uber-masochist who would make even King Canute blush.

Johnson is not as bad as Trump... he's not a fascist or I don't think so anyway... He is an entitled child of privilege who believes he has every right to power and every right to abuse it in order to indulge his appetites... Lazy, directionless, probably drunk/drugged, incompetent, deceitful... this is the person that tories gleefully foisted on the rest of...

It's sad that he lacks the final dignity to resign, and must be forced from office, which helps no-one.

That will overshadow the good work he has done, and leave his reputation tarnished.

Claims that a rule change could be implemented as early as tonight.
Surely he won’t put himself through that too? Lol.
If he goes I'd like to see Gove replace him.

Enoch Powell once said "All political lives end in failure".

As Gove himself would say: Calm down!

Indeed. But this is an unmitigated catastraf**k of epic proportions.
At this rate they’ll need to remove him in a white jacket.
It’s funny because he’s lost any scintilla of dignity he might have left with and it’s all of his own doing.
He’s been great for Ukraine - but enough is enough
it reminds me of the Low cartoon from WW2 - "Very well, alone"

http://hackcartoonsdiary.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Cartoon-Very-Well-Alone-by-David-Low.jpeg

I can just see Boris saying "Very well, alone - Minister of Everything!"
//Conservative MPs say that they have heard from party whips that there are now no MPs prepared to fill the vacant positions from those who have resigned en masse.//

Seems to bear out my last post so to speak

Surely changing the rules for a vote of no confidence is just what he has been accused of - changing the rules to get what they want. Where's the integrity in that?
Got told off yesterday for opening another thread on this. Go for it and ignore the sarcastic idiots.
Anybody want a job?

Boris has a few vacancies to fill.

Because even though it’s party politics it’s still democratic, transparent and fair.
Not a lot to ask, though it’ll be a strange process for Johnson!
They won’t have to do that.

But plainly most want him out so it’s a reasonable course of action

I think one thing we are reminded of however: there are far too many government ministers. (Or rather, there were lol)

Forgot to add:
Johnson knows all about changing rules to suit.
He was doing it with Brexit and also the ministerial code.
indeed, hard to sympathise with someone hoist by his own petard.
I wonder what Carrie's advice to him has been?
As he's refusing to go, I presume her advice was "refuse to go".
Looks like most of the rest of the Cabinet are about to tell him to resign
//He must be an Uber-masochist//

No he just has skin as thick as 810 a roll wallpaper.

The knives have been sharpened, cant see the squealing greased piglet escape this time (fingers crossed).
