It is amazing how much Sunak’s stock has fallen in the last year.

After he turned up for a photoshoot at a garage without a car and had to borrow one from a supermarket worker, Sunak was asked by the Select Committee what car he drives. He told them his family uses an old VW Golf.
He made no mention of the high-specification Range Rover, a top-of-the-range Lexus and a BMW which he also owns.
