I realise that you are scornful, and of course i am not suggesting for one moment that the story and its outcome will affect your day one way or the other.

I simply point out that, by saying it is of no interest, you are clearly undermining your own viewpoint, by taking interest in it enough to tell us that you are not interested.

But when I 'put something in', I don;t then try and defend it by saying it's not interesting enough to have raised in the first place.

You can be as scornful as you like, but that doesn't detract from the fact that by posting about the subject, you are demonstrating interest, and then contradicting yourself by saying there is no interest.
