The question that might be put to any officers providing evidence of wrongdoing in Downing Street two years ago, is that, if they had such evidence at the time of the alleged offences, why were they not investigated and acted upon then?
Who said they’ve given ‘extremely damning evidence’ and how does the informant know?
Well a little off topic, but on reading the link I did laugh at the part that said Boris is warning Putin, I'm sure Putin is shaking in his party shoes. :0)
The problem is NJ grassing on your Boss, and that is effectively what Johnson is, is not a good career move. Moreover whistle blowing in the public sector is not a good idea, as my wife and my daughter found out (NHS).
So not "Without fear or favour..." then?

Must be a combination of allegations combined with strong evidence and the weight of public opinion and pressure I guess ?
