Are experiencing Empty shelves again , of fresh fruit and veg also cold goods .
Some people are blaming covid, but supermarkets are blaming Brexit.
Long queues of Lorries have formed at Calais trying to get supplies into the UK ,
as New year import control of goods from the E/U begins to bite.
Super market workers are saying delivery lorries are just not arriving....(they should know)..

The truth of the matter is that many supermarkets have had their way of working disrupted, nearly all of them work on a just in time basis. The disruption is for many reasons. Like hearing it or not, Brexit is one of them. Now some may insist that they have not experienced a shortage regarding their own personal shopping list, but one thing is for sure is that your...

// Fruit and veg are imported .....Why!...UK farmers can produce Quality fruit and veg on your door step //

I have been trying to source locally grown UK pineapples and coconuts. I can’t find any, nor any grapefruit, lychees, or satsumas. Why can’t British farmers get their act together.

(You are not related to Liz Truss by any chance Gully?)
Well bully for you vulcan, I'm all right Jack attitude. Quite a few empty shelves at my local supermarkets. No idea why. Brexit? Covid? Staff Shortages? Whatever, the shortages are real.
I noticed a shortage of tissues yesterday! But that was all and plenty of locally grown veg here.

Boris doesn't need exports from the E/U.
He can grow his own money trees inside NO 10, to supply his Crony club .

Why is there need for all this paperwork for imports from the E/U?

Gully,
Everything you have posted is untrue.
I didn’t vote Brexit myself and evidence that it is failing badly, I would seize upon. But the stuff you offer to back up your case is quite clearly wrong.
You undermine the Remain cause by constantly posting dodgy and misleading evidence.

Matters not a jot now, we have left the EU ( and in the words of a many times suspended poster, End Of )

We were promised a lot of things from Brexit.
If we are not getting those benefits, it is worth noting and recording them.
But offering bogus info is self defeating.
I'd call this poster AB's Cassandra but he'd probably report me to his uncle for not using his proper name.
maggiebee, how on earth can reporting there is no shortage of the goods mentioned by gulliver in my local supermarkets be an "I'm all right Jack, attitude"?
Vulcan, I wrote that because you seemed to imply that, because your local supermarket shelves were full, the OP was telling porkies. Distribution from area to area no doubt varies.
if gully lived in an area where the shelves were full he wouldn't bother posting . . .
//Super market workers are saying delivery lorries are just not arriving//
This one is saying we has some occasional delays but problem as been covid.... noones ever mentioned brexit here in wales. No shortages of toilet roles & othe essentials here.
Can we move this to the jokes section.
Fact - there were no tissues in my local Waitrose yesterday and the loo roll shelves were seriously depleted.
Waitrose, posh people panicking.
