The attitude towards Police officers has changed dramatically over the last few years, and not in a good way. They are supposed to be an authority and uphold the Law, difficult to do when so many have been 'let go'. This is one of the stupidest things I've ever seen and will hold Police officers on the streets up for ridicule. The British Police Force should be seen to be neutral and totally unpolitical -with a capital as well as a lower-case P - Would they send these cars out to Police a Nation Front or Anti-Gay demo? Fuel to the fire.....
