I hope so - even to contemplate it is nuts.
Daft !
How would it be pronounced on the phone?

Mix,Mux,Emx ?
I dispare sometimes. Well, lately it's often.
The cowboy Mr Tom Mix will now be known as Mix Tom Mix.
i always check the date when i see these types of posts . . . no it's not april 1
Surely they could just drop prefixes altogether, sorted, no one insulted.
//The cowboy Mr Tom Mix will now be known as Mix Tom Mix//
wouldn't that be mx mx mix?
stupid people rule..
Or pick n mix.
I've always been gender neutral. They all call me
"'ere oi you!"
I have always disliked writing "Dear Sir or Madam" or "To whom it may concern" in letters or emails where I don't know the recipients name....not sure I like "Mx" though....I mean the concept is fine but not the word.
I would not class myself as 'woke' in any shape or form, but I agree than Mr. Mrs. and all 'M's' in between are really not necessary anymore. When I fill in forms it annoys me that they need to know my marital status, eithe Miss or Mrs., and Ms. sounds pretentious. Why can't we just drop the Prefixes altogether? They are outdated nonesense.
Sounds like one from the pursed lips and man-bun crew.

Do these people not realise they'll be dead soon enough without wasting their time on this utter drivel?
I agree with APG. It annoys me when I give my name over the phone and I`m asked "Is that Miss or Mrs" I feel like saying "Does it make a difference"? They wouldn't ask a man "Is that Mister or Master?"
I'll stick with Mrs., quite happy with that. If necessary I would also be happy just to be known by my birth name as I was in France. It is not generally known here, but in France your birth (nom de famille) name is your legal name and remains so despite marriages etc.. I discovered this when I bought a house under my ex-married name (which I had continued to use in UK and never thought twice about). All the paperwork had to be redrawn, at some expense.
