Yesterday I Received Two Messages On My Phone. One Appeared To Be From Hcsb And The Other From Halifax.

They both mentioned 'suspicious activity' and gave a web address.
I've never had any dealings with them so they are clearly scams. I was wondering how they got my phone number.

Computer generated random number, Sandy. Just ignore them. 'They' don't know you.
What makes you think they got your number? Just dial a random number and, eventually, someone will answer if you try enough times. Aren't computers wonderful?
Telephone directory.Sometimes scammers just pick a number out of it.

OK, thanks all. I'll ignore them, but I did wonder how two messages could arrive so close together.
HCSB is a good clue...
More likely both the same call centre of spammers
