Much as we might dislike the press for being overly intrusive, it is what they are paid for.

The press were taking photos of an ill elderly man the way they take photos of criminals in a police van. There was just no need.

emmie nothing definitive, they are his sons, but maybe Phil & Liz decided between themselves & advisers that visit was not needed. I'm making do with telephone calls to Jen, surprised sons were allowed a visit.

perhaps Philip wanted to steel his eldest son for the inevitable, maybe thats why Charles looked so crestfallen at the hospital...

He probably wanted to see Prince Charles so he could tell him to do something about what Harry is doing in America and for upsetting the Queen.

Sadly I feel the inevitable will soon happen ,Prince Philip is 100 in June and as we've seen with Sir Captain Tom, no one is invincible ,I hope he's comfortable and as for the Queen visiting , I don't think that's a good idea , a)the tabloids would go into mass hysteria talking of a state funeral et al and b)she's a very elderly lady herself and needs protecting from this dreadful pandemic.

why wouldn't he get a state funeral? would be appropriate for the Queens husband. He has been by her side all these years, one would hope he got a good send off when its his time.
