Bizarre conclusion.
webbo//we should have stayed in"//
Why?
We get our Pfzier from Belgium.
If the delay is because of a change in manufacturing production, then undoubtedly there will be a delay in deliveries of our order too.

The delay is nothing to do with the EU or Brexit, it is a logistics problem.
Shhh, don't burst his little bubble.
Leaver logic at its best.

Sorry my comment came out wrong.

the remainers would have been blaming Boris if we weren't getting any vaccines, good job we are, and good job we left the eu.
This one wouldn’t.
I dare some would would have blamed Boris but some wouldn't.
There you go....

Hardly, it seems being in the eu isn't so good after all, we are doing fine with our vaccination programme..
// good job we are //

I hope not, but if manufacture is slower than they planned, then delivery of our 40 Million doses will be delayed. Irrespective of in or out.

Presumably Boris hasn’t worked that out either, because he has not mentioned anything about an hold up. Perhaps when he misses his 13 million target by the middle of next month, we will be told then.
Sunk, we get our vaccines from more3 than one source.

And so does every one else.
The get the Pfzier one comes from Belgium and if that is causing delays in Europe, it will probably cause a delay in the delivery of the rest of our order.

We are doing quite well with our roll out, but Boris has set an unrealistic target so it will look like a fail.

The EU approved the vaccine 3 weeks after the UK, so we have been jabbing longer than them, so we have obviously done more.
Perhaps it is another false trail being laid to cover up the already documented ue failings and disjointed vaccine debacle.
From Germany 7th Jan. The Editor of Bild, daily newspaper
" The sclerotic and sluggish EU machine has, unforgivably, botched the roll-out of the vaccines, and the consequences are likely to prove fatal to many thousands of our citizens.
The pandemic is almost a year old and EU leaders could have and should have seen the need for a swift, effective vaccine policy a mile off.
Instead, delays, in-fighting, national self-interest and sheer bungling bureaucracy have combined to cripple the EU’s vaccine efforts.
Now a growing fury is spreading as we watch independent countries — particularly Britain, Israel and America — ramping up their vaccine distribution with tremendous efficiency in comparison to our efforts, saving lives, protecting the vulnerable and moving towards ending this terrible crisis." Oh Dear.

From the German Health Minister Jens Spahn.
"The EU required the vaccines to get regular clearance rather than emergency use permission, a decision Spahn said would help boost acceptance for the shots. But this delayed the start of the vaccination campaign compared to other countries."
Perhaps the Belgians were only obeying orders and slowed down the deliveries, calling it a revamp of production techniques, because it was embarrassing some that Britain was getting the job done pronto. Why did they accept more orders and promise a delivery time scale when they couldn't deliver? Though that sort of thing was outlawed in the "efficient" EUSSR. Perhaps we can sue them or demand squillions of eu monopoly money vouchers in compensation.

I suppose if there is a blizzard tomorrow Boris will get the blame for that too.
Some of the State leaders in Germany (Socialist mainly) wanted to follow the UK/US model and buy their vaccines on the open market.
They were overruled by the CD who insisted they abide by EU rules.
So despite manufacturing one of the vaccines, they were allocated 3m doses (out of the 100m required) with a 3 month wait for their next allocation. (according to the German Health Minister)
So Webbo's right aaand as per, most of you clowns haven't got a clue what's happening. Won't stop any of you having opinions or insulting people, will it?
The Astra Zeneca vaccine we are currently using has come from Germany and the Netherlands. The intention is to get supplies from the UK when manufacturing allows, but the initial doses are from the EU.
Sunk, the Astrazeneca vaccine is from Oxford.
When did the EU branch out into making drugs?
