Obviously not being able to hug family, felt very strange meeting on the patio at a distance this morning to exchange gifts.
First Christmas ever we haven't spent the holidays at their house.
Also we have missed going to our U3A meetings. Where we meet up with lots of friends and do lots of activities. I organise a lunch club once a month for about 50/60 people at different venues in the forest. The last one I did was in February.
The only time we go out now is to do the shopping. I do that more than I should because I feel stir crazy. Consequently my fridge and freezer are overflowing.

Blasted predictive text!! Missed not Issued.
I should have spotted it though.
What have I issued most? Curses, probably!
;-)

OK, I know that you really meant 'missed', so my answer is probably my regular Sunday night crossword sessions, with a couple of mates in a pub in Ipswich. It's not about missing booze, as I usually drive into town and drink coffee or Coke in the pub; it would just be nice to see my mates again and, in particular, to compete to see who can work out the answers to the clues quickest!
I don't think I've missed much tbh. I'm not really a huggy type of person anyway.

My problem is more to do with worrying about my parents and nan catching covid and now more so with the new strains.
Seeing my Grandchildren regularly.
Nothing.
Carried on as normal. Or at least as normal permits.
Distanced where possible, worn masks, sanitized at every opportunity, done what is required/asked of me and as far as I know havnt contracted or spread anything.
If I have then the advice given obviously doesnt work!

Im not going to sit at home cr apping myself over it.
Been to see my mum today, shared a taxi, hugged my niece, her partner, my sister, my son, and my mum etc and been served by my local corner shop owner...all of which ive done anyway during this pandemic with no ill side affects anyway, either to me or my loved ones.

Oh so much, Caran. Our social life. Not seeing my family since 2019. Cheering on Kerry in the pub.
Babies who've joined our family and left before I could meet them, cuddle them and tell them that every family has a mad auntie and I'm yours.
The huge village parade for Dave's birthday on March 17th. So much....but maybe next year...x
Nothing.
I've missed going to my local community garden where I volunteer. Although it's been open with social distancing, I just don't want to bring covid home, although I think I would be ok, with my partners underlying health issues, don't think she would fair to well.
Holidays, sun, freedom to go and do what we want.
Missed no short breaks away. No holidays. Breathing without a mask in shops. Lunches out with friends and family.
Not seeing close family and friends for 6-9 months.
Watching football with a proper crowd.
Other main problems having to cancel planned trips
Nothing really. I am not a huge goer outer. I did miss meeting up with my best mate to exchange gifts. Her younger son is my inherited godson and the older one and his partner are lovely people with a sweet daughter and a baby son who I haven't met yet. We have stayed close through chatting and sharing pics and we WILL get together again. My sis and I are bubbled so she comes to stay often and I talk often to my family. I am blessed really.
Meeting mates for a drink in the pub on a regular basis (pre-lockdown in March it was once a week).
Also, not being able to go and see Saracens - my son and I are season ticket holders and go to every home game, and quite a few away games.
The whole pandemic and everything with it has affected me so little it’s barely mentionable, but I have missed going o the cinema, as I attended regularly prior to all this madness.
I did miss my brother in law's funeral which took place right at the beginning of lockdown in March when only 10 could attend the funeral service, later ammended to 30.
Poor 6uggar died at the wrong time. Wish Covid would make up its mind how much it can spread?
Keep getting different distances. One feet? Two feet?
And its so deadly that you have to have a test to see if you have it?
well I've issued a fair few empty beer cans and wine bottles.
metres rather than feet, yes simpler when it was just 2m but is now 1 metre plus- 1 metre if there are other things in place like sitting back to back, wearing masks or screen between or (not sure of this but it makes sense) outdoors with wind blowing. Without this things like taxis, driving tests wouldnt be possable
//And its so deadly that you have to have a test to see if you have it?//
Yes, as some who have it dont have symptoms straight away or at all but could infect others if they come into contact, and could be fatal if person is old or vunerable.
But your right , not deadly for most but has been for nearly 70000 here in UK and 300000 is USA
Missed some things off-
(1) not shaking hands with peopel either at work including old friends who see me usually in my shop or hugging the few famly member we've seen.
(2)playing sport and the camaraderie-
