The fat lady has just appeared on the stage. Not the beginning of the end,but the end of the beginning. Many people have many doubt and that I understand, the anti vaccination group i understand less if at all. Have your jabs but keep to government recommendations and we will be back to normal by June.

ahh... good call, pasta!
I think some of these who argue loudest they wont take the vacinne will really be first in the queue. There sometimes the sort who used to pretend they never revised for exams at schools but actualy were the biggest swots in secret or pretended they rebelled against parent's but were really meek little angels at home
pasta..the minister didn't eat it.....his young daughter did.
I think it was Gove.
Lol
John Gummer??
Yes....you're right...thanks.
Jno I remember John Gummer, I didn't need reminding about him. I don't care what Matt Hancock does, it wont happen anyway. I don't see why someone like him should get it first.
Will we see Boris and Matt getting theirs I is wondering
sorry, cashier, I'd no idea how old you are. I don't mind if Hancock gets the first one, he's health minister for better or worse. But the rest of the cabinet can wait in line.
Sorry jno. I was really annoyed when I read the op's remarks about my post, implying that I had said a lot of things I hadn't. I'm in my late sixties.

Link @ 1753,
The Oxford Vaccine is not the Pfizer one.

I think what I find particularly disappointing is the Op's opinion that those who do not take the vaccine are "morons".
I hope others on here do not also take that viewpoint

For the record, I’m anything but highly educated, but consider myself well grounded.

From the link:

Psychologists are very interested in why some people are more inclined to believe in conspiracy theories, especially since the consequences can be harmful: for example, by avoiding getting their kids vaccinated, believers in vaccination conspiracies can harm wider public health; in other cases, a belief in a conspiracy against one’s own ethnic or religious group can foment radicalism.

As I said, good luck.
you don't have to be a conspiracy theorist to decide against being vaccinated, Chill. People can have perfectly sane reasons.

People can have perfectly sane reasons.

As opposed to ill health and death you mean?

Yeah, I’m sure there are loads!

Right, off to work.

Good luck again!
It isn't necessarily the choice between one or the other, chill. You are not the only person working with covid patients. But your contempt for them, is awful.
Maybe the OP will have a quick look at his employer's social media policy during his tea break tonight :)
For the record, Piers Corbyn has a 1st class degree in physics from Imperial College and an MSc in Astrophysics fron University of London and is an anti-vaxxer but I don't think you could describe him as "Thick".
Which just goes to show that opinion formers are anything but stupid.
Holocaust denier David Irvine is an Oxbridge graduate. Out and out racist Enoch Powell as we all know was a learned classicist.
And so on
look as though care home residents aren't first in line after all as was promised.

https://www.theguardian.com/society/2020/dec/02/uk-care-home-residents-to-miss-out-on-first-wave-of-covid-vaccinations

It means Chill and his colleagues will be getting them quickly, which is fine, but disappointing for those in homes and their families. It seems to be related to this particular vaccine, which has to be kept so cold.
It does make sense, jno- particularly as their staff will be amongst the first, and they are most likely to be going in and out.
