Anyone who doesn’t take the vaccine is quite frankly a moron.

The cynical, sceptical f£&@wits who decry the vaccine and deny Covid exists need to come and work in a hospital for 48 hours.
If you don’t want it, don’t have it but but DO NOT expect the NHS to rescue you because if your own idiocy.

Yes, this is a good and promising thing. But what bothers me is how quickly it's come about...I worry that the testing process...normally 3 stages I seem to recall...has been too short. I read a few articles a month or so, ago that described the usual time frame and it was about 2 years to develop and test a vaccine.

Advances in medical science have brought this about. I gave an answer on this recently, whereby a professor on Question Time explained how and why we are now able to develop vaccines so quickly.
What I would ask is: why would you NOT take it?
Do you want to continue playing Russian roulette every time you enter a supermarket or pub?
Or do you want to wear a mask and remain socially distanced for the rest of your life?

Oxford didn't begin developing in March. They were already planning and working on a Coronavirus vaccine. It just needed tweaking and of course funding. Money suddenly became no object and the path through testing and licensing has also been smoother than in years gone by when urgency wasn't a factor.
We read an interesting article the other day because we were asking much the same question as you. We have a personal interest in the Oxford vaccine team and follow it closely in news and otherwise.

as far as I understand, this vaccine will not be suitable for everyone, so I hope the NHS will still treat those people Chill :)

I am all for the vaccination... but you have to admit that you certainly haven't reassured people who have read your previous posts...
I am not all for the vaccination and think chilldoubt's posts are disgusting. He won't be advising me what to do that's for sure and there is no way I will be watching the news or reading the news or having anything to do with the news, because I am sick to death of the news !! I haven't made up my mind yet whether I will have it or not and I know plenty who don't want it, I personally want to wait and see yet as I think this is too early. My prerogative, and I won't be swayed by the ones on here who seem to think it is a mortal sin and think they have the right to call you allsorts if you dare to question it - bullies !!
