Well restraunts were allowed one meter if you were sat back to back, it was one of the extra measures. But still they should of realised the need for a mask specially as there were photos being took and I think its best to stay 2m where possable. But now we'er being dooma nd gloom merchants , ilovemarjie will say

I find that rather worrying. Assuming Boris is 5’10” or thereabouts, the people in those photographs appear to be at least three feet from each other. Their faces could be even further apart than that. And in each one the two participants are facing in the same direction. Are you seriously saying that in such a situation you would wear a mask? No wonder half the country seems to have lost its marbles.

I don’t know how untrue it is. I suppose in theory the disease can be contracted at 50 metres with a hefty dose of bad luck and a following wind. But your statement certainly seems to be bordering on the hysterical when even the “science” suggests that 2m is usually a safe distance in most circumstances, especially outdoors.

Once again, I am not for one minute “denying” that Covid exists or that it can be a serious disease for many who catch it. But everything in life carries risk (as I hope I have demonstrated). Like it or not, this disease will spread and the point has passed where it is sensible to believe that it will not. The real "deniers" are not those who refuse to accept that it exists. Instead they are those who refuse to allow the population to properly consider the level of risk it poses to them individually and to take only the sensible and practical precautions necessary to mitigate that risk.

Am just saying theres no gaurantee you'll avoid just by following the guidance of 2m or 1m+ but off course the risks less the further away you are, I never said you would get it or would be likely to get it. The hysteric's are not coming from me but those looking to mock peopel who are cautious and think of others.
As for not wearing a mask in Downing St it'd be silly to keep taking masks off and on in the meeting depending on which way you face and am sure the whole meeting wasnt held standing side by side not looking at each other , so Borris and MP should of worn one and wearing a mask wouldnt of been a case of 'losing their marbles', its being careful and considerate which seems to go against the grain sadly for some on here

It was a breakfast get together - as a result, the PM, six Tory MPs and two political aides are self-isolating.

In a pandemic I'd call that ....avoidable or deliberate......

We after attend meetings sometimes while we'er at work. They dont rearrange the meetings and do it by zoom after we get home, sometimes you need to do something while everyones there. They should of worn masks tho, agreed, specially for the cameras

I wasn’t commenting on the meeting. We don’t have any details of how far apart the participants were or whether they were wearing face coverings. I was commenting on this:

When I get that close to people momentarily as they were in the photographs I do not put on a mask. In fact I don’t put on a mask at all, but that’s a different discussion. But if I did, I wouldn’t do so in those circumstances.

Nice try judge but am sure you see that you after take the context into account- it was part of a meeting so masks should of been worn. Your asking for trouble if your a PM or MP and you pose without a mask close to someone when your having a meeting

With peopel so dismissive of scientific medical advice its no surprise that UK as the highest number of deaths in Europe and infection rates and hospital intake figures that are worryingley high- then they express disbeleif that we follow other goverments and have lockdowns and restrictions. England should of learnt from Wales, tho we should of acted stronger here sooner too
