How can * they* even think of doing this at this time?
These nurses and Doctors are vital in the running of the NHS and should not be penalised , they aren’t the ones coming to our shores on dinghys ,they are providing a special service to us in Britain, this should be scrapped forthwith

Yes, seems an odd thing to be doing.

If ever 3 Ts but especially now?
Yeah, I saw that on GM Britain. Piers was not happy. Even the UKIP fella they were interviewing said that the fees ought to be scrapped.
A big mistake. These doctors and nurses should be encouraged to come to the UK, not have barriers put in their way.I have a lot of time for Rishi Sunak but he has blundered here.
If they are going to scrap or suspend this fee then they should do it for all immigrant frontline workers.
Absolutely Woofy, I mean, if they pay taxes and they're in the country legally, why should they have to pay anything?
Old story. Do these people never stop whinging?
If they spent more time doing their job and less time moaning, we could lay half of them off.
SR I view of the present situation re coronavirus I find that post very obnoxious.Shame on you.
Our own indigenous nurses have to also pay a fee.
Oh be quiet. The hospitals are three quarters empty. And I'll express my views whether you like them or not.
What fee do they pay, UMMMM?
They are being asked to pay just over £600 for the YEAR £50 per month surcharge. If they choose to come and work in the UK then they accept our rules. I presume that if they went to work in the USA they would have to pay into a private healthcare scheme which would be much more than £50 per month. Every country has its immigration rules, and you can't emigrate for work, then complain about the rules.
It's never ending with some of you. Give them more money, give the other more money, make everything free. You live in Lala Land.
SR // And I'll express my views whether you like them or not.//
And I will pass comment on them whether you like it or not.I repeat, your comments were totally uncalled for.

APG, it’s the fact they’re increasing it substantially at a time like this that’s unpalatable
Corby - I'm not a nurse so why would I be paying a fee?
UMMMM, you wrote, "Our own indigenous nurses have to also pay a fee." What fee do you mean?
ummmm//Our own indigenous nurses have to also pay a fee.//
Fair enough but why should immigrant nurses have to may more, they are doing the same job and, presumably, getting the same pay.
it's all immigrants though isn't it, not just nurses and doctors?
I don't know what the fee covers. I assume on going training, like I said though, I'm not a nurse.
