Just as much nonsense is spouted on the FB pages of say billy graham, but they are not taken down.
I don’t think billy graham has said anything which might upset the delicate balance of a pandemic, or disrupted emergency services communications, has he?
seeing as eccentric means peculiar or odd, yes, you could say he is. The problem is, he seems to need the word irresponsible in front.
Facebook is a private company. It can chose to host whatever pages it wants.

No-one has a right to express themselves on Facebook, Twitter, Tok Tok or on any social media platform.

David Icke's freedom of speech has not been curtailed. Only his freedom to spread his message on someone else's platform.

This sums it up:

https://xkcd.com/1357/

Whether he should be removed, Facebook have a clear policy on spreading disinformation about CV, so yes.
Yes I concede that spreading false info on covid-19 should be censored, so really this is the reason the page was taken down, not because of the alleged mental state of Icke.
//What troubles me is that he's being censored//

No he is not.

If someone comes into your house and starts saying things you disagree with, you can ask them to leave, that is not censorship.

If you then follow them out of your house attempting to cover their mouth whilst they're walking down the street - THAT'S censorship.

This is the sam.
Couldn't agree more, sp.

So you’re saying you took the time to post a link to illustrate your OP but that it might not be accurate?

What an odd debating modus operandi.

You don't half spout some excrement to make yourself appear intelligent.

I looked for Icke, Shoota, Ike was a typo. The only one with 60000 is a fan type thing.
Well, can you explain why you posted the link to Sky and then claimed it had nothing to do with you, then, cos I’m finding that a bit puzzling.

Why didn't Facebook ban the World Health Organisation?
I’ve no idea. Why don’t you post that as a separate question, with a link that you will stand by?
royfromaus

Possibly because the organisation didn't breach any of its page rules.

You can read them here:

WHO peddled misinformation.

If they can do it, why can't Icke?
royfromaus

Facebook said it had removed Icke's page "for repeatedly violating our policies on harmful misinformation".

What have the WHO said on their page that violated Faacebooks policy on spreading harmful misinformation?

I'm not saying you're wrong - it's just that I don't subscribe to their page, so I've got no idea how they've violated Facebook's terms and conditions.

Looks like this thread was accidentally closed - now reopened.
Thanks, Ed. Do you ‘have words’ with the Mods who do this, at all?
Thanks Ed.
ED, might it be an idea to add a step to confirm the closure of a thread to prevent the accidents?
Question Author
What does a thread look like when it has been closed accidentally?

Incompetence at best, malice at worst. Is anyone brave enough to claim Spartacus status I wonder?
Roy why do you want to open up the argument again? Just accept that a mistake was made and leave it at that.
